Happy Friday! I am so excited to share with you all my Nordstrom Beauty Haul and a recap from the Nordstrom Beauty Trend Event on May 6th. The event was so much fun! I also loved getting to sit front row with the 10 winners from  my Instagram contest. I always love meeting readers, and these girls were super fun! Not only was this a great event, but it was also a great learning experience. I had the opportunity to interview a few stylists and makeup artists from different brands and hear all about the new trends in beauty and skin care.

THE NORDSTROM BEAUTY TREND EVENT

The morning started bright and early when I met with one of the lead makeup artists for Charlotte Tilbury, Dillon Del Toro. I’ve been a customer of Charlotte Tilbury for several years so it was nice to hear more about the brand and try the newest products. He used the Instant Look in a Palette and I am honestly obsessed. We used every single color, so you know it’s a palette you will actually use.

After my makeup was done, I met up with the winners of the VIP Giveaway and got ready for the fashion and beauty show to begin.

During the show we were able to hear about al the latest trends in both beauty and fashion.

A few key trends to remember this season are Polished Nudes and Rosy-to-Red Lips.

The Polished Nudes trend is a great way to play up neutrals in your makeup. Try a bronze or taupe eyeshadow to give your eyes some dimension. A red lip is a great way to add a pop of color or spice to your look. One of my favorite reds is Dangerous from MAC. It’s a great orangey-red that looks so fun during the summer (or holidays!).

After the show, we all went down to take advantage of the services that each brand was providing. A few of us got our makeup touched up while others wanted to have a mini facial. It was a fun day in the beauty world and I can’t wait until next year’s event.

MY NORDSTROM BEAUTY HAUL

Not only did each guest get a swag bag at the event, but Nordstrom had some pretty nice gift with purchase opportunities. Several of which are still going on!  Here are some of my favorite products I picked up at the Nordstrom Beauty Trend Event:

CHARLOTTE TILBURY SUPERMODEL BODY GLOW

This bronzer and highlighter is perfect for your arms, legs and décolletage. I love this because it’s not too overpowering. It looks natural and as if your imperfections are “blurred”. Backstage they called it “photoshop in a bottle”. It’s really easy to apply and a little goes a long way. I can’t wait to use this on my legs and décolletage this summer.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY LIPSTICK IN “LIV IT UP”

You all know I love a good lipstick. And to quote Charlotte Tilbury, “Darlings, I always say lipstick empowers confidence. It’s happiness in a tube!”

Liquid lipstick is having a big moment in the beauty world, and don’t get me wrong, I love a matte lip. But there’s something nice about a classic, cream lipstick. At the event I had the opportunity to play with some of these lipsticks and hear about how they are more than just a pretty lip color.  The lipstick is packed with antioxidants and hydrating ingredients to keep your lips heathy and soft. I personally gravitate towards light pinks with both cool and warm tones. “Liv it Up” is the perfect pink with a hint of coral tones. It’s really pretty for Summer.

TOM FORD SOLEIL BLANC DRY OIL SPRAY

This dry oil was such a nice gift from the Tom Ford team. Austin gave me the Soleil Blanc Parfum last year after our trip to Italy and it is one of my favorite summer fragrances. I was so excited to get to try the dry oil!

This is not like your typical body oil, it’s actually very dry (which I like because it doesn’t leave my skin oily or greasy). The mist quickly absorbs into your skin leaving it feeling soft and hydrated. This is a fun product, but not something I would use everyday. I plan to save this for special occasions or beach trips!

GLOPRO MICRONEEDLING TOOL

Ok, before I jump too far into this, I want to say that I plan on doing a full post specifically on this tool in June. In my post, I will share how I use this and more details about the tool. TRISH MCEVOY BEAUTY BOOSTER OIL

During the show, everyone was going crazy for this beauty oil. So many women were rushing to the makeup counter to get their hands on this oil! I even went to the counter myself to hear more about the hype behind this product.

The Beauty Booster Oil can be used with your moisturizer, mixed in with your foundation or even applied over your makeup for a radiant glow. It’s truly a versatile product.
