When it comes to decorating, I always gravitate towards black and white. It's a great canvas to add bold patterns such as leopard or bright colors. I always use Pinterest as my inspiration board, I mean who doesn't? These are some of my favorites that I have recently pinned. We are pretty much done re-doing out apartment, but I always enjoy adding little things here and there. These pictures are a great reminder that a little goes a long way, and that a pop of leopard is always a good idea. XX

You’re A Fox
I am a sucker for good packaging. So when it comes to snail mail, I only choose the prettiest and best stationary. After all, who doesn't like receiving pretty mail? When I came across this set of letter press cards, it was love at first sight. So much, that I am almost too scared to write on them for fear I will mess up! (I actually think I may end up framing a few for decoration.) With the gold foil writing and neon pink border, what's not to love?
These cards are currently sold out, but Jane is hoping to bring them back soon. To stay in the loop, be sure to subscribe to jane.com! They have new products daily, so you don't want to miss out! XX

Valentine’s Brunching
Today I am thrilled to finally share these pictures with you! A few weekends ago a few of my favorite bloggers came to Dallas for a weekend of girl time, brunching, and shopping! We hosted this beautiful brunch in the heart of Dallas at the Posh Floral Studio and had the best time. Between sips and treats, we pretty much decided great friends are the best kind of Valentine! Of course, a new pair of shoes doesn't hurt either. For more pictures be sure to visit The Glitter Guide. Around the House | Pretty Things
I've told you all that I have been updating our home and doing a little re-decorating. I'm still wanting to get around and do a full post on our home, but this will have to do for now. With that being said, I have become addicted to coffee table books. These colorful ones caught my eye and are the perfect addition in our living room. These books not only keep me entertained and provide endless inspiration, but it makes me so happy to see stacks of them throughout our home. I also added my trust worthy Calf Hair iPhone Case, Heart Statement Necklace, and leather Blair Ritchey Pencil Pouch. This python pouch is my new favorite bag to hold my everyday essentials. You know, pink lipgloss, Chapstick, and of course Tylenol. For more pretty things see my guide below! XX
Goals and Such
Happy New Year! The arrival of the New Year always generates a "fresh start" feeling that motivates me to make virtuous goals and resolutions. While some of my resolutions may change from year to year, the reason I make these commitments is always the same. I am pretty much convinced that if I can achieve them, I'll feel that much more satisfied. The trouble is, I always proceed to set unrealistic resolutions that I ultimately fail. This year, mine are simple and easy. Bring it on 2014!
1. Find that work to life balance- This will be a tough one for me! My biggest weakness is time management and organization. I am determined to figure this out in 2014. Any advice is welcome!
2. Pray more- Austin and I have a goal to pray together everyday. This is something we do and value in our relationship, but it's not as often as we'd like. Over the holidays, his Grandmother told us the key to a successful marriage is to pray with your husband everyday. Considering she's had 50+ years of happiness, I'll take her up one that.
3. Start the home buying process- ahh, scary!
4. Travel- one of my favorite things to do. I love seeing new places and meeting new people. I look forward to the travels of 2014!
5. Create healthy habits- I never get enough sleep, I hardly exercise and I love candy. That's a bad combination right there.... tackling this one asap!
I hope you all have a blessed 2014 ...
Pumpkin Recipes
One of my favorite things about fall is pumpkins. I love pumpkin pie and of course a good PSL. With Thanksgiving tomorrow (crazy!), I wanted to think of something festive I could make for dessert. All of these are a possibility! Since I can always count on pumpkin pie, I think I will lean towards the Homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte. Yum yum! What are some of your favorite fall treats?

Relaxation 101
Ahh relaxation. How do you get away from it all? Is it diving into a good book...watching the latest episode of KUWTK? For me relaxing means many different things. While I don't have children of my own, the ones I teach keep me pretty busy. I love it but I often find myself just going and going and have to sit back and just breathe. Do ya'll ever feel that way? When a trip to the beach doesn't play out, these are a few things that keep me cool while balancing a full time job, blog and a sweet husband. He's the most work out of the three you know. Ha! ...
Me Time
In this fast paced world we live in, it's important to set time out and enjoy some me time. It's so easy to get caught up in the day to day hustle that we often forget to sit back and relax. It's not easy for me to unplug and reflect, but I make the time. Whether that's framing an old wedding picture or painting my nails with a new shade for fall, it's the little things that inspire me and keep me calm and collected. Fresh flowers are also easy on the eyes. I'm telling you, just the aspect of fresh flowers really changes the feeling in my house. I actually want to keep it clean and organized. Ha, maybe they should be a weekly thing? Oh and did I mention my love for chocolate? Not just any chocolate, Lindt LINDOR milk chocolate truffles. These irresistible truffles are a must. I always keep a stash on hand, so don't be surprised if you find one in my purse... true story. Come on, what's a girl to do without her chocolate? I hope this week you can find time to reflect and enjoy the little things! Have a great week! ...
