In just a few short hours, I will be on my way to experience my very first Fashion Week in New York City. Packing for an event like Fashion Week can be an exciting, yet daunting task. However, I was so excited when Portero wanted to team up to share my packing list for NYFW. Being at the beach has been wonderful. But I can't help but notice all the adorable swim wear and accessories. So much that I decided to dedicate a whole post to beach favorites...all on sale! The Packing List | Summer Musts
With Summer here, the opportunity for little weekend getaways is definitely greater. My husband and I don't have any kids so there's little holding us back from little spontaneous road trips. Whether it's driving to a nearby city or staying at the in-laws for the weekend, I always like to be prepared. I try to keep things pretty organized when packing so it was a no brainer to use my One Truffle Clairity Pouch to hold all my essentials. This little bag is my favorite because it's completely functional (and chic). Inside my bag, I carry a few of my "Summer Musts". These include items that I use on a daily basis or here and there. Whether you tend to overpack or keep things simple, here are some products you are going to want to try this season.
Chantacaille Rice and Geranium Cleanser: I know I've written about this stuff before, but I still can't get over this cleanser. It's the absolute best of the best! You only have to use a dot (like smaller than a pea size) and it really foams up and gets off every trace of make up. I love to use it with my Clarasonic Face Brush to get a deep clean. Try it, you won't regret it!

The Packing List | Dallas to NYC
Today starts my official "spring break" (and it's my birthday)! To celebrate, my husband surprised me with a trip to Boston and NYC...I couldn't be more excited! I have never been to Boston and he has never been to NYC, so this will be a fun trip for both of us. We'll leave tomorrow morning and stay in Boston Tuesday and fly out to NYC Thursday Morning. Our flight super early tomorrow morning, so I am spending the day cleaning, packing, and of course doing some last minute shopping. These are a few of the items that I will be packing with me on my trip and some that I hope to get while in the city!

Dallas to Houston
I love a little weekend getaway....even if it is just a few hours away. This weekend my husband and I are driving to Houston for a friends wedding. We are excited because it will be a new change of scenery and we both have never been before. I am looking forward to brunching at Tiny Box Woods (thanks Chelsea for the recommendation!) and doing a little shopping, of course. To Austin we go and I couldn't be more excited for a 3 day weekend. Yes, I know it's already Thursday but the countdown is on. I have lived in Dallas pretty much my whole life and I have never been to Austin before! Everyone has looked at me like I am crazy so I'm not offended if you're a fellow Texan thinking the same thing. I have heard great things so I am already excited about the trip. Happy Monday everyone! I am pretty pumped this morning because the hubs and I are off to Jamaica to celebrate our 1 year anniversary. Hello, beach! Ahh! Only two more days until I leave for NYC with my mom and sister-in-law. I can't wait! In the mean time, I have been busy with teaching 1st graders..making to do lists and figuring out what to pack in my teeny tiny carry on.
