Between family vacations and work trips, our summer calendar is going to be quite full. A Girls Trip to Denver
Over Spring Break, a few of my favorite teachers and I went to Denver for a little girls trip. We had so much fun laughing, catching up and sharing stories from when we all worked together. Those kinds of trips are not only fun, but good for the soul am I right? ...
A Trendy Travel Guide to Los Angeles
A few weeks ago Austin and I traveled to LA. It seems like we have been there a lot these past few months. Having family in the area and the occasional work project, it makes for a fun trip no matter what. After sharing our Weekend Guide in LA, we wanted to share something a little more in depth with more options than the small list we provided here. ...
How to Have the Best Disneyland Experience
Growing up in Southern California had it's perks. Beautiful weather, family nearby and of course my good ol' pal, Mickey Mouse. If you've followed my blog for a while, you know we visit California quite often. I travel to LA for work occasionally or we will schedule trips to visit family. You may remember that my mom was also a school teacher for several years. When I was young, I remember her students in California would all pitch-in to get her season passes to Disneyland. (Was that one heck of a room mom or what?) With Disney practically in our backyard, it was easy for us to visit frequently. ...
A Weekend In LA
A Weekend at The Omni Homestead Resort
Last month, Austin and I got to travel to Hot Springs, Virginia to stay at the beautiful Omni Homestead Resort for their 250th Anniversary. You guys, this property is not only beautiful but it's an amazing experience (and America's oldest resort)!
Since posting on instagram and snapchat, several of you have emailed us with questions regarding this resort. I wanted to share a little recap with you and some tips we found helpful for planning our stay at The Omni Homestead Resort. ...
Trendy NYC Coffee Shops
Coffee is easily one of my favorite ways to start my morning. There's just something about starting my day off with a hot cup of joe, that motivates me to get things done. This past weekend I made a trip up to New York City with my sister-in-law, Megan, and being the coffee lovers that we are, we wanted to visit as many trendy coffee shops as possible. ...
Packing for New York City
Today, I am off to NYC with my sister in law, Megan. We are pretty excited about this weekend getaway and can't wait to be back in New York City. Feel free to follow along via snapchat and Instagram to see more from our girls trip!
In the meantime, I thought I would share a quick packing post with you all, featuring a few of the items I brought in my carry on.
A few call outs would be this pink coat. The color is even prettier in person and is the perfect shade of blush. I do recommend sizing up...it runs a little small.
If you've followed my blog for a while, you know I love a good facial mist. I always like to keep one on hand. Whether it's in my makeup bag or at my desk, I literally use it anytime I am in need of a boost. I recently picked up the Luminous Dewy Skin Mist by Tatcha and have been so impressed. It's comes out in an ultra fine mist, and gives your skin an instant refresh. This might be my favorite I have ever tried. I use it right after cleansing, before moisturizer and throughout the day over my makeup.
I hope you guys have a great day! xx Ashley ...
4 Easy Tips for Comfortable Travel Style
When it comes to travel, comfort is at the top of my list. I look for soft layers, comfortable shoes and travel accessories that make it easy to stay organized. With the holidays just around the corner, I know many of you are traveling (can you believe how fast the holidays are sneaking up on us?). Often, I get asked about my "go-to travel style" or favorite bags for travel. Here are a few items that are at the top of my list: ...
Where To Stay in Battery Park
I loved sharing with you a few photos and details from my NYFW experience with you, but I wanted to show this comfortable (and practical) look from my time in Battery Park. During the 2nd part of my trip, I moved downtown and stayed at The Ritz Carlton Battery Park. It was my first time staying in that area and I can't wait to go back.
My favorite part of the hotel, besides the excellent customer service, had to be the view. You may remember seeing a little room tour on snapchat, ...
