Travel Diaries | NYC
Part two of our little get away was spent in New York City. That city is probably one of my favorite places next to San Francisco. The skyline, restaurants, boutiques...I love it all. We arrived Thursday morning ready to see everything New York had to offer. To our surprise, we scored tickets to see The Letterman Show that afternoon. We weren't expecting to see Letterman nor are we "die-hard" fans, but it was actually pretty fun! I loved getting to see behind the scenes and being a part of a live audience. I also got to see one of my favorite actors, Bryan Cranston...I am a huge Breaking Bad fan.
Friday was our true full day in the city and we were determined to see as much as possible. We started out early and walked from our hotel to breakfast where we fueled ourselves with coffee and omelets at Sarabeths's before heading to Central Park. Central Park South is one of my favorite areas. It has so many quaint restaurants nestled on the street overlooking the park. It also is right off 5th Avenue so that is always a plus. Later that night we enjoyed The Lion King on Broadway. It was awesome!
Our favorite eats included Sarabeth's for brunch, Shake Shack for a late night shake, Juniors, Amarone (the best pasta), and Magnolia Bakery. When we weren't eating, we spent our time visiting the Natural History Museum, sipping coffee in the Plaza (A limousine and a cheese pizza anyone?), and walking around Times Square. Until next time, New York!
Travel Diaries | Boston
Sorry to be a little behind on postings, I am still playing catch up after arriving home late Sunday night. As some of you may know, my husband and I took a week off and went on a little vacation to the North East. It was a nice way to celebrate our upcoming two year wedding anniversary (March 24th)! We started our trip with Boston and ended it with NYC. It was such a fun little trip. Thank you so much for your comments and suggestions regarding places to eat, see and of course shop!
During our stay in Boston, we stayed at the Ames Boston Hotel (more details coming soon!) and spent our days walking around the beautiful city. Our favorites included walking the Freedom Trail, dining in The North End (highly recommend Bacco, Bricco and Dolce Vita) and of course indulging in sweet treats from Mikes Pastry (the best canolis ever) and Modern Bakery (try their french macaroons, yum!). One of my favorite dinners was at Legal Harborside. It was ...
A Good Idea
We're off to NYC today! I can’t begin to tell you how excited I am. I’m looking forward to walks along Central Park, macaroons from Magnolia Bakery, and of course some 5th avenue shopping (to name just a few things). While Boston was a blast, I am excited to be back in New York. Austin has never been to NYC, so I hope to show him all the hot spots and see some new things as well.
If you have any places for eats or treats, please let us know! We are always looking for new suggestions!

Austin with Austin
Finally posting some fun pictures from our trip to Austin. Loved a weekend getaway with the husband. And not just because we traveled somewhere new, but the simple fact of spending quality time together. We acted like total tourists but who cares. Some of my favorite places were Gourdoughs (amazingly huge donuts), The Driskill Hotel (gorgeous), and my new favorite boutique By George. Here's to more weekend getaways! ...
Jamaica Is For Lovers
Who knew one year of marriage would fly by? Although we had our official one year anniversary in March, we were able to finally celebrate last week. We are huge fans of the "all inclusive" concept. It's just so easy. We went to Sandals St. Lucia for our honeymoon and LOVED every second. We knew we wanted a similar experience. We decided to try out Jamaica. Neither of us have ventured to that part of the Caribbean so it was a new and exciting experience for both of us. This week I will be sharing more pictures of our trip...stay tuned!
#guzburger wedding
This past weekend I was able to celebrate the nuptials of April and Odie Guzman. What a beautiful couple and wonderful wedding! Here are some snapshots of this great day! Enjoy!! xx
Chris & Christina Get Married
I am a little late to posting these, but they are too lovely not to share. Over Memorial Day weekend we flew to San Francisco to attend our friends wedding. Yay, Chris and Christina! This was such a beautiful beach wedding. I couldn't get over the weather. It was beyond perfect. I guess when you live in a beautiful place like this with ZERO percent humidity, it's crazy to not have an outdoor wedding. You can pretty much bank on a gorgeous day. The venue was at an adorable bed and breakfast that over looked the beach. Not bad right? Here are some pictures of the rehearsal dinner and wedding! (Do) Enjoy!!
Domaine Carneros
If only I could click my heels three times and be in Napa again. Last week, Amy, Ashley and I spent the afternoon at the most beautiful winery, Domaine Carneros. We enjoyed sipping on all kinds of champagne while the boys spent their time bachelor partying in Muir Woods. This place was all kinds of gorgeous and one of my favorite wineries yet! I mean how hard can it be to spend the afternoon in an 18th century château? Until next time...

Keep Calm & Carry On
You know how tax season is crazy busy for CPA's? Well, consider this my tax season. As a teacher, I so look forward to the end of the year. School is coming to an end and summer is calling my name. However, there is much to be done before all of that can actually happen. And in the midst of this craziness , this poor little blog gets set aside. Hence why it's Wednesday and I am finally getting some time to post. While this week is a busy one, it's also a short and exciting one! Two of my friends are getting married on Saturday and a whole group of us are flying out to San Francisco on Thursday to celebrate the occasion. With that being said, I am scrambling to pack some Nappa Valley, Union Square, Monterey Bay appropriate attire. I figure I would hit the easy stuff first- my carry on. These are the things I absolutely can't travel without! And yes, gummy bears is a must. Enjoy!!
