Perhaps one of the most popular trends we've seen thus far is the cold shoulder. Personally, I only own a couple "cold shoulder" style tops, but I can now see why this is a popular style for most. I picked up this black blouse to wear to a girlfriend's birthday dinner a few weeks ago and it has quickly become a top I wear frequently. ...
Wearing Ruffles for Spring
Just like bell sleeves, ruffles are making a huge statement this year. From ruffled hem lines on tops & pants, to ruffled sleeves, it's a fun way to change up your day to day look. ...
Valentine’s Day in Pink
Happy Valentine's Day to all! Whether you are celebrating the day with your significant other or best girl friends, I hope it's full of love and laughter. I wanted to share another snowy look from Fashion Week. And if you know me, you know I love a good blush ensemble. This monochromatic look was classic yet feminine and despite the snow, was still a great option for a day of presentations and meetings. ...
Snowday in New York City
After arriving to NYC last week, we were greeted with a beautiful 10 inches of snow. Being a Dallas girl, that is something I never see. This definitely slowed things down for NYFW. A few meetings were canceled and shows were delayed, but it was pretty neat to experience the snowfall. ...
Our Love Story
Today, we are taking a little walk down memory lane and sharing the personal story of how Austin and I fell in love. I haven't shared our story on here before, but when MICHELE asked me to partner with them for their Valentine's campaign, I knew it would be the perfect fit for our love story. It's been fun to go back and think about so many moments in time that defined our relationship. I met Austin 7 years ago, and through these years, we've had several defining moments for our relationship. Our story has plenty of cheesy moments, but I truly cherish every one of them. Our journey starts in college... ...
The Look for Less: Rockstud Flats
I love a good pair of shoes. Austin gave me my first pair of Valentino Rockstuds 4 years ago for a birthday present and they are still my favorite shoe. Since then, I've purchased another pair of white flats and they have been a pair that I wear frequently. I'm much more of a "flats" girl now, but the heels still hold a special place in my heart!
After posting the Valentino's over the years, I've had several emails, comments and messages asking if I knew of any "similar styles" at a more budget friendly price. Up until now, I honestly didn't. While there have been several versions of "studded flats", I've never found one that was so similar. A few weeks ago a sweet reader (hi, Melissa!) emailed me about these Rocktsud Flats. I was immediately taken back by how similar they were to the real deal. So much, that I decided to order a pair for myself and give them a little test run. Since this is a request I get so often, I figured you all might want in on this amazing find as well! ...
Instagram Lately No. 15
Happy Monday! We are back from Vegas and slowly getting in the swing of things over here. What a fun weekend it was! Though I didn't win the jackpot, I would say that seeing Celine Dion was my winning moment. You guys. She is the most talented person I've ever seen. Being at her concert instantly took me back to my childhood. It was like being in my mom's car all over again! Highly recommend seeing her if you are a Celine fan.
In other news, I've been getting a few requests to do a new Instagram Roundup. I normally do about one a month and it's been a while since I've shared new instagram photos. As always feel free to comment or email if you have any questions about sizing + fit. ...
Bell Sleeves Under $50
Bell Sleeves might be one of my favorite trends at the moment. They make quite the statement and I am digging the fun, free spirit vibe they give. After posting this photo to Twitter last week, I was surprised to see how many of you also are loving bell sleeve tops. You all know I am more of a "classics" kind of gal and don't like to spend a whole lot when it comes to trendy tops and sweaters. I know many of you are the same way, so I wanted to share my favorite Bell Sleeve Tops all under $50 (a few are under $30). ...
Wearing Florals and Stripes for Spring
Many may argue that florals and stripes are the key components in a Spring wardrobe. And I have to agree! These patterns instantly make us think of Spring and today, my sister-in-law Megan (you may remember her from our NYC trip in December!) and I, are sharing a few of our favorites from LOFT. The newest collection is full of patterns, colors and texture's - perfect to freshen up your Spring wardrobe. ...
5 Pieces To Get You Through Winter
While cold weather accessories are fun to buy, I am so ready for warmer weather. Anyone else? Though, I'm slowly transitioning my closet & blog content to focus on Spring, I'm still very much needing to layer on some of my coziest pieces. My outfit here was inspired by the items I have worn the most this season. We all have those core pieces we find ourselves wearing more than others. These have been it for me! In my opinion, all you need is a few staples as a base for your wardrobe. ...
