It's no secret, I have been loving capes this season. You've seen me wear them many times on the blog (here and here are a few of my favorites), but it just goes to show how versatile this layering piece can be. I love to layer capes with chunky sweater, tunics or in this case, a simple white button down shirt.
Did I mention this cape is actually reversible? That's right, you can choose to wear the plaid side or keep it all black. This was such a great find for only $60. I found a ton of other great options linked below all under $100.
Thanks for stopping by and thank you so much for the sweet comments and emails about our home tour! You guys are truly the best. xx

Black & White Spots
If there's one blouse you need to own, it's this Tiered Tunic by Maeve. I love longer tops, so it's no surprise I found this one last week when checking out Anthropologie's 40% Off Sale. Unfortunately, this wasn't on sale, but it was too good to pass up. I actually want to buy it in white and another print!
For an office look, simply pair this tunic black pants (I also love these white trousers) . If you want a little more color, I found these green pants that would look adorable with this top. I love the idea of pairing this with a Nude Pump or keeping it comfy is a pair of flats.
If you're looking for something a little more casual, I opted to pair it with my Current Elliot Jeans and Nine West Purple Flats. This Wool Moto Jacket is (finally) on sale, and I can't help but get excited to wear this through winter and early spring. I love winter whites and this coat is beautiful (and ...

I am happy to bring back a new instagram roundup featuring some of my recent instagram images. It's been a while since I've posted one of these roundups, but I've had a few requests to bring this series back, so I wanted to include some of my recent favorite photos. Feel free to comment below if you have any questions!

Blush & Grey Details
Today's post is short and sweet, but I wanted to share that this grey and white scarf (or wrap, depending on how you wear it) is on sale at Club Monaco. I found this little gem with my Mom last week, and I feel in love with how soft it was and the size. It's perfect for wearing as a traditional scarf, or thrown over your shoulder as a wrap. Looking forward to wearing this many times with the colder weeks ahead! PS: My turtleneck is also on sale!
A few of you have been asking for sandal recommendations and swimsuit (!) suggestions (I can't believe it's time to start thinking about switching seasons) so I will do a little round up this week. Some mentioned going on a beach getaway...I'm super jealous! I would love to take a break from this cold weather. Anyways, be on the lookout for a Warm Weather guide coming later this week.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Monday xx

Cozy Knits
Happy Wednesday, friend! We are halfway through the week and I thought I would share one of my favorite purchases as of late. In my opinion, you can never have too many knits. This Army Green Cardigan (under $30 and comes in pink) and Knit Infinity Scarf have been two items that I seem to wear all of the time. If you're new to my site, you will quickly find that I love neutrals, basics and clothing that I can realistically wear on the weekends, to the office, or for date night.
On a different note, we are shooting our home tour on Friday! I am so excited that we are finished and can't wait to share with you our home. This has been a long project that both Austin and I have spent many hours on. Between building furniture, hanging gallery walls and painting, it's been a process. Are there any specific rooms or areas you want to see? Can't wait to share!
Have a great week and thanks so much for stoping by! xx
Grid Scarf
Is it just me or did the weekend fly by? We spent Saturday running errands and yesterday taking engagement pictures for Austin's sister & new fiancé. We had hopes to hang yet another gallery wall, but it looks like that will have to wait until tomorrow! Our home tour is going to be shot this week and I am so excited to have things almost done. It will be such a nice feeling!
I wanted to share this cozy look from a few weeks ago. This grid Scarf (now sold out, but here's a very similar scarf) has been a favorite of mine this season and it's a little embarrassing how often I wear it. But isn't that a sign of a great purchase?

The Sleeveless Vest
This week has been a busy one and I am so thankful tomorrow is Friday! I wanted to share with you guys this look from a couple weeks ago. This sleeveless vest has been one of my favorite purchases as of late (and it's under $25). You guys know I love neutrals and when I saw this vest, I knew it was something that would get a lot of wear in my closet.
I wore this outfit to meet some friends for a late lunch at Ida Claire. It combines some of my favorite pieces; distressed denim, a silk blouse, and my favorite satchel. This sleeveless vest was the perfect addition. I also plan to wear it with black denim, black boots, and my cream sweater.

Black Leggings & Khaki Coat
There are a number of items in my closet that I call "essentials", but this time of year, nothing quite compares to a good pair of leggings. You know, the pair that you can wear "as pants" and still feel confident everything is in tact. I wear leggings almost daily during the winter and have found these black leggings to be my favorite.
It took me a while to splurge on a pair like these, but they have been worth the investment as I wear them all the time. I love to wear these with oversized sweaters, capes, or even worn under a dress.
Here is a look that I shot last week wearing these leggings and pointed toe boots (aka the key to longer legs, ha) and a classic khaki coat. The options are endless!
On a completely different note, my zoodle arrived in the mail yesterday and I am very excited to use it. Have any of you used a zoodle or vegetable spiralizer before? I have been pinning a few recipes that I ...
Winter Neutrals
Hi everyone! I hope your New Year is off to a great start. I know the Monday Blues are in full force after being off for the Holidays. Hopefully, today is full of productivity and getting after those goals.
I wanted to share with you all this casual look from last week. You know I love neutrals, so I couldn't wait to wear this cream and tan combo. This sweater coat (I also have it in grey) was the perfect addition to my Topshop turtleneck. It's soft, cozy and I am crazy about the color. In my opinion, this camel color goes with just about anything.
Together, this combination was quite warm. I've worn my grey version of this sweater coat, so many times. It's perfect for traveling and doesn't wrinkle easily. A major win in my book!
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day xx

Goodbye, 2015
As I look back at 2015, I am filled with gratitude and the upmost appreciation to you all. It was a great year, filled with new beginnings, challenges and the happiest memories.
Change has always intimated me, but the thought of starting fresh with a new year is exhilarating. It's the time for a clean slate, a chance to start over and set new goals.
Each year, I set personal, spiritual and work goals. I know goals can seem silly, but as someone who likes to make goals on a regular basis, it only seemed fitting to make a few for the new year. One of my goals is to keep up with a weekly Bible Study. When I was teaching, my co-workers and I met once a week for a prayer group and a girl on my team and I would read the She Reads Truth Bible Studies. We were pretty consistent and the accountability was much appreciated on my end. I truly miss that. My goal is to be more intentional with my spiritual quiet time and participate in a weekly Bible Study, whether it's with another group or just by myself.
Another goal I have is to travel more. I know, I know, wouldn't we all love to travel more? But really. Austin and I have been saving our miles and we are anxious to use them this year. I am hoping for Europe, but we will see! As far as work goes, I feel like those goals never end. As you know, I started this blog
