I know you all can join in with me when I say, TGIF. What a week it has been! I wanted to share a quick recap of my short stay in NYC last weekend. I was so grateful to have the opportunity to attend New York Fashion Week and even though my stay was short, it was amazing. I loved getting to see a few shows, meet with some great brands, and see fellow blogger friends. Get all the outfit details below and to see more head over to my instagram! Thanks for reading and happy weekend! xx

Floral Dress
You know when you find that dress that is so easy to take from day to night? Well this is mine. This dress has it all! Fun print, great length and so comfortable. Funny thing. Not only was this dress my first look for Fashion Week, but also the dress I wore on the first day of school. Who knew it could be suitable for both occasions!
Stay tuned for a short re-cap of my trip! Thanks for reading! xx

Papers in the Park
In my book, weekends are meant for two things: brunch and sleeping in. But now that school is back in session, I have a few more responsibilities. My weekends now mostly consist of getting my grocery shopping done, preparing for blog content, catching up on emails, and grading papers. While grading papers isn't always at the top of my list, (I know my teacher friends totally agree!) I do enjoy grading in an enjoyable environment. Since the weather is getting nice, I plan to spend my weekends outdoors as much as possible.
For my third look with Nine West, Fall was on the brain. During Fall, I love to wear oversized sweaters, skinny jeans and short boots like the Jareth Booties from Nine West. This is one look that will be on heavy rotation this Fall!

Coffee Run
Happy Monday! Last week, I shared my Back to School looks with Nine West. And this week, I'm continuing the theme by sharing what goes on before I actually step in the classroom.
The first order of business is figuring out what to wear in the mornings. I wish I could always be organized and have it picked out the night before, but you know how that goes! For work, I like to keep it casual, yet professional. These black pants, classic white blouse and peep toe booties from Nine West are one of my favorite combos for Fall. I love a little heel and this is one that I can definitely sport while on my feet. They're so comfortable!
I like to arrive at school early to prep for the day. But before I can do any of that, I make a most essential coffee run. I usually grab an iced coffee to go, and head to school. I love sipping my coffee and making any last minute adjustments to my lessons or activities.
A stylish, but comfortable outfit and a highly caffeinated beverage make for a great start to the day!

Weekend Wear
I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend! I don't know about you but I sure did enjoy an extra day to sleep in and do some things on our new house. We finally got around to getting our night stands (added a little DIY touch...more coming soon), hung some curtains and bought some new items for decorating. Nothing big, just things we needed to get done!
Over the weekend I wore this feather print tunic, new boyfriend jeans and (the best) leather tote for a long brunch followed by errands. Side note: I was so scared to try boyfriend jeans (especially because I ordered these online-sized down!) but once I got past the fact that yes, they are more "relaxed", I quickly grew to love them. A fun tunic paired with good denim is my kind of weekend wear.

Wear To Work
I'm a sucker for a silk blouse. It's the most versatile thing I own and in my opinion, something every gal needs to have on hand. Recently I was introduced to Bradamant, a brand that makes silk tops a little differently. You see, this is actually a body suit that I am wearing. You read that right, a body suit! When I first heard about Bradamant, I was totally impressed. Not only is their suit totally practical, but it's so easy to wear. I love not having to worry about shirt lines or wrinkles through out the day.
Many of you ask about my professional wardrobe and this would definitely be a look I would sport to school. It's comfortable and lets me move easily. I would swap the pink pumps for some cute leopard flats.

BaubleBar X Pantene
If there's one thing you can count on in Texas, it's the extreme heat (ok and the humidity). Two things that do not pair well with hair. Due to the unfortunate heat, I've been really inspired to find pretty hairstyles that help minimize frizz and are relatively low maintenance.
I was super excited to try out the new Pantene Stylers Collection. I have a weakness for hair products (you guys know this) so I couldn't wait to get my hands on the Blow Out Extend Dry Shampoo and Flexible Hold Hair Spray. I used these products to create three different hairstyles to help beat the heat. To top it off, I styled each look with some BaubleBar jewelry to add a little sparkle.

Grey Neutrals
Equipment has grown to be one of my go to brands for silk basics. I've always heard people rave about The Slim Signature Silk Blouse and I had no idea how good it was until I tried it on my own. The price tag can be a little daunting but once you see for yourself you will quickly realize how great they are. The fit and quality are just a couple reasons why I choose Equipment as my silk blouse of choice.
I picked this fun print up at St. Bernard Sports last week. I loved the print and knew the color would transition well into Fall. I wore it with some white pants to keep the look light and summery but I plan to switch out the white and pair this blouse with some black denim and Tory flats for Fall.

Crochet Details
I've always appreciated a Summery top, especially when it involves crochet detailing. There's just something about lacy tunic that makes me think of Summer. I wore this this little crochet top last week to dinner and it was the perfect solution to these hot temperatures we've been having in Dallas. I am all about light and airy fabrics when its 100 outside! I kept the jewelry pretty minimal and just layered a few Gorjana necklaces and added a pop with this painted bangle by Stacy Brown Designs.
