This past weekend, Dallas had the most beautiful weather. I was worried this jacket would be too warm for a day in the low 60's, but it was perfect! I picked this up from Piperlime and fell in love with the texture and print. While this jacket is a little masculine, it can still be feminine with the right accessories. It's thin, so it makes a great transitional piece as the weather starts to change. It is also easy to layer in colder temps. Lucky you, it's on sale right now over on Piperlime!

The Full Midi Skirt
One trend that I have been loving lately is the full midi skirt. I mean, how fun is a big, full skirt with some strappy shoes? While the look is flirty and glamorous, it's not something that's very practical for me on a weekly basis...so it was important for me to find one at a good price point. I'm more of a skinny jeans and heels kinda gal, but when I saw this quilted midi at H&M, I knew it was perfect! If you are thinking about trying this trend, I suggest going for simple black midi first. See below for my favorites...enjoy!

Sweater Style
I'm not usually one who wears a lot of pink, but when I saw this bubble gum sweater at J Crew it was love at first sight. Usually I have to talk my self into wearing pink and it's almost a struggle for me to find ways to wear it. Crazy, because pink is one of my favorite colors. I guess when it comes to my wardrobe, it's lacking in the color department. However, this sweater is super easy to wear, especially with this Statement Necklace from Pink Pineapple Shop. I chose to keep it simple and pair it with my favorite fluted skirt from J Crew and these shoes. Definitely not the most original choice, but boy do they make you feel like a new woman! Here's to a great Tuesday! Thanks so much for reading!
P.S >>I have received quite a few emails from some of you regarding my bloglovin account and rss feed. After undergoing some site changes, we were still working out some kinks. Things should be back up and running now. Thank you for your patience! XO
Faux Fur
Nothing makes me feel more glamorous than a faux fur jacket. Sometimes, I can feel totally ridiculous wearing one, but when I put on this ASOS one, I loved it. I paired with my leather J Crew Pixie Pants (love these!!!) and my Dee Keller pumps. I guess you could say I am on a "faux fur kick" right now because I also just picked up this and this. For more of my faux fur favorites, see the guide below! XX

Cable Turtleneck
Texas is known for it's crazy weather. For instance, we had beautiful 60 degree weather this weekend and now it's 25 degrees outside. Typical. However, I am hoping that the cooler temps stick around—I’m all about getting cozy in thicker sweaters like this Cable Turtleneck from Gap. It's perfect to bundle up in for those really chilly days or wear with simple layers on a warmer winter day. As you know, I love neutral colors, so I couldn’t pass up this cream colored sweater. Gap is also having a sale now, so it's the perfect time to snatch up some cold weather basics. I am loving this and this...looks like I will be adding those to my closet!

Pink & Black
A girl can never have too many shoes in my book. Especially wardrobe staples like a pair of black pumps. I am loving this pair from Dee Keller's collection at Neiman Marcus last Call. It's the perfect shoe for work or play. I chose to pair them with this super feminine dress by Pim + Larkin (on sale!) and my favorite black Equipment Silk Blouse. Happy Friday! Happy Monday! This past week we have been dog sitting for my parents. I have LOVED every minute of it because that means I get to take care of my parent's dog, Missy. She's the pup we got when I was a freshman in college so she isn't technically mine, but I still refer to her as my dog. My little brother, Drake would strongly disagree. Austin and I currently do not have any pets, so this totally feeds my desire to become a pet owner. However, it also reminds me of the huge responsibility and time it takes to have a dog. While I absolutely love dogs, it's just not the right time for us. However, pet-sitting for a week is perfect. Here are a few shots from a trip to the park with this sweet Boston Terrier, Missy.
Buffalo Check
When I wear basics, my favorites include a silk blouse, skinny ripped jeans, and some heels. I love to incorporate a bold piece that makes the outfit standout. The Buffalo Check has to be one of my favorite trends this season. I love plaid in general, but this bold print takes the cake. I always feel that plaid is a print that looks great alone, or mixed with another print like leopard or stripes. I have had my eye on this Buffalo Check Peacoat from J Crew and was able to snatch it up (at 30%!) at the Gifting Event last Friday. Unfortunately, it is sold out in almost every size, but below I have pulled some similar options! Enjoy!!

Hi beauties! It's time to say goodbye to 2013 and hello to 2014 and what better way than to ring in the new year with fabulous hair and makeup! This is the perfect time of year to get all dolled up and throw on some sequins. My New years look always consists of a little shimmer, a bold lip and my fave LBD. Below are some tips that I always follow when getting ready to celebrate on NYE. Cheers!
For the Face & Hair: My favorite products to give a little shimmer are The Balm, Manizer (I actually use it as a base for my eyeshadow but it can also be used as a highlighter for your cheekbones) or LORAC TANtalizer Baked Bronzer. On my lips is my go to lipstick by Cargo in Punta Cana. Many of you have asked about the color here and here... this is it folks! It's amazing ...
