Red & Navy Stripes
Usually I steer clear of red. I've just never liked the color on me, unless its in the form of nail polish or lipstick. However, my thoughts changed when I saw this maxi at Gap. The navy and red were the perfect mix and just what I needed for my vacation. I loved pairing it with my panama hat and straw tote for that nautical look. Looking at it now it would also make the perfect fourth of July ootd! Ha, next year I guess! ...
The Essential White Cover Up
L.W.D
Happy Friday everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their 4th of July. Maybe you're extra lucky and not having to go back to work today. I definitely enjoyed spending time with family and friends and celebrating this great country. Today I am sharing my favorite look of the summer, the little white dress. I wore this dress last night because I figured this was a fitting look for the holiday and most important, super comfortable. Texas is having unseasonably cool weather, so we couldn't help but take our evening outside. Our night consisted of shopping, eating, Despicable Me 2, more eating and fireworks. This J Crew dress/tunic is super easy to wear and can easily be dressed up with some wedges or worn to the beach as a swim suit cover up. I chose to pair it with my usual LV tote and jazzed it up with some spike-alicious sandals. Safe to say I will be sporting this look all summer.
Fourth Of July Prep
With the upcoming holiday I can't help but feel inspired by red white & blue. I'm not one for being over the top festive when it comes to my outfit selections, but here are a few that are just the right amount of patriotic. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and enjoy a hot dog or two!

Oversized Tee
One of my favorite summer staples is denim roll ups and a soft oversize tee. It gives off an "effortlessly chic" vibe yet it's completely practical in this 95+ degree heat. My go to shorts for summer are denim roll ups. I haven't quite gotten into the whole "cut off" trend yet, so this is as close as I go. This shirt was a completely random yet amazing find at Forever 21. I love the soft cotton and oversized look. This necklace is just what this outfit needed to complete the look. Made by my fellow Texas gal pal, Cathryn. You may remember her from here and here. I know I carry this Blair Ritchey clutch around everywhere but it's my favorite. Worth every penny. Now on to some exciting news. I am flying out tonight to Illinois for April's wedding! It's finally here and I am so excited for her and Odie. It shall be a glorious occasion and I can't wait to celebrate with all of our closest friends.
Neon Stripes
I have been on the lookout for a great pair of denim roll up shorts that are age appropriate yet still cute. Surprisingly enough, forever 21 had a great selection. Now, I definitely had to sort through the daisy dukes but I managed to find this great pair for a mere 20 bucks. Bargain right? I am still holding out for a nicer pair, but I figured these would do the trick for now. On a brighter note, how fun is the neon stitching on this embroidered top from J Crew? On sale too! Happy Wednesday!

Happy Monday Senoritas! I have an extra skip in my step this morning as it is my first day of summer. It feels so nice being able to sleep in till 7:00 and not waking up at 4:50 (i'm crazy, I know) and getting to sip coffee and lay back and catch up on episodes of the Kardashians and Hooda & Kathy Lee.
This summer I have some pretty big goals. I am not one that likes to just sit...I like to keep myself busy. Austin and I have plans to update our apartment...like completely ...
Pastels For Spring
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day and had a wonderful time with friends and family. I had the joy of traveling to San Francisco to celebrate the wedding of Chris & Christina, more pictures coming soon! While in California, I was able to enjoy the 60 degree weather and bust out my trustworthy spring jacket from Zara. I loved pairing the jacket with this blouse from Evie J Boutique. The soft peach was a nice touch for the blue tribal pattern! ...
