Summer Scarf

No matter what time of year, I like to wear scarves. Of course there is a time and place for thick, wool scarves (and summer is not one of them!) but I do love to throw on a thin, breezy scarf this time of year. This thin striped scarf from Urban Outfitters is perfect for summer. It gives off an effortless vibe whether you pair it with a t-shirt and jeans, or a sun dress. I like to have fun with scarves, and wear them a few different ways. Here, I kept it tied traditionally and also wore it long. I'm not sure which one I like better, but I do know that I love the versatility of this scarf! Which way do you prefer to wear a scarf? The Perfect Shirt Dress

TGIF! I always get excited when I find something that will quickly become a staple in my closet (and happens to be under $100) . This shirt dress is one of them (see below for sizing). This is an easy look that be worn casually with flats, like these Tory Burch Espadrilles (budget friendly version here) or with a cute pair of wedges or sandals. I wanted to keep this low key so I threw on my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mab Tote and a fun panama hat and called it a day. Boho Vibes

Happy Wednesday everyone! I have been looking forward to today for the past few weeks because my team from school and I are meeting up for dinner. It's the little things, but I love my co workers and I can't wait to spend some time with them! I wanted to share a look from last weekend. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites! This Geo Print Tunic immediately caught my eye for many reasons. One, I don't own anything like it. Typically, I tend to buy more "classic" pieces, but I couldn't help but love the fun print and colors on this top. I also wore it with white pants and it looked so soft and summery. Dressing for the 4th of July

After posting this off the shoulder dress last week, I am now starting to look for more dresses and tops that offer the cold shoulder. I love the look and not to mention, they are surprisingly practical for these hot summer days. This Navy Embroidered Dress has been worn on repeat ever since I got it in May. It has been the perfect dress to throw on for brunch, to the pool as a cover up, or just to run errands in.  I can't think of a better time to wear it than Saturday! Blue & White

With the 4th of July just around the corner, I have been on the hunt for what I will be wearing for an evening outside with friends and celebrating the good ole US of A. I love this Blue Blouse and if you have seen my recent instagrams, you know I have been wearing it on repeat! I am thinking this would be a great top with my white denim shorts and sandals too. I always like to make something (easy) but festive for the 4th! I have this recipe pinned and I am also loving these ice cubes for a fun look to your drink. Summer Layers

Hi everyone! Today I am sharing a super casual look from this past weekend. I am a big fan of layers and I love that I found a thin enough shrug to wear during the summer. This Neutral Cardigan (also worn here) is a great piece to have as a way to change up any look or pair with a simple tank top like I did here (I have that tank top in 3 colors, it's my favorite). I threw on my nude pumps to dress it up a little and it was perfect for a date night to the movies. On a totally different note, I am getting really excited about a few projects I have been working on. Both work and personal. We moved into our first house last July, and (i'm embarrassed to admit) we are finally getting around to decorating and buying furniture. I can't wait to share with you all some of the things we are doing. It terrifies me to decorate and the thought of painting makes me cringe. I guess I just feel like it's so permanent. Which is silly. Anyways, be on the lookout for some DIY projects on my snapchat (username: theteacherdiva) and some interior posts coming this summer.
