What better way to start off the weekend than with a giveaway to one of my favorite dress designers, Maggy London. I wore the Freya Flippy Dress Wednesday for a little dinner date with Austin and could not believe how soft and comfy it was. There is no doubt this will be worn all throughout Spring and well into the Summer.
Maggy London doesn't want you to miss out either! They are offering one lucky TTD reader a chance to win a $150 Gift Card to get a dress of their own! Be sure to check out my instagram this afternoon to find out all the details and how to enter.
Happy weekend and as always, thank you for reading!! xx

10 Minute Makeup Refresh
Up until the past few years, I never really carried makeup in my purse. Of course I had my go to lipstick and maybe a mirror, but that was about it. I realized as I started my career, that it was very typical for the other teachers to run and grab drinks or head to an early dinner after work.
I quickly found out that I needed a little refresh before heading out right after work. Like most of us, I don't always have time to reapply everything, so I've found that all I need are a few key products to give my skin that healthy glow in a short amount of time.
I have always been impressed with YSL Beauty and I was so excited to try the new 'Pop Water' Collection (a Nordstrom exclusive). All of the colors are on point for Spring and Summer.
Here are the steps I that take me from desk to dinner in 10 minutes or less. I'd love to hear what you try!
Step 1
I've always struggled with oily skin. My dermatologist says I will be thankful for that, but for now, I am trying to cover up that excess oil. Whether you have oily skin or not, it's always a good idea to blot and powder at the end of the day. I don't know about you, but my face could use a little more coverage come 5 o'clock. This pressed powder by YSL is the key to keeping my skin ...

Beauty Talk
I always like when I have the opportunity to try new products. You really don't know what works best until you give it a shot right? Well, I was recently introduced to a few new products that have me hooked. The Complexion Rescue by Bare Minerals, is one of my new favorites for every day. I was actually a little apprehensive to try this, only because I usually like a little more coverage in my foundation. To my surprise, this has a really nice, medium coverage. I had a little sample that I used during my trip to New York and was amazed at how long my makeup stayed on. I loved it so much that I went to buy more last night! Studies have shown that this foundation not only acts as a moisturizer, but it improves skin hydration drastically. I also love that it has SPF 30...major plus! I also use the Bare Skin Powder to set the look.
I have never been huge fan of eyelash curlers, they scare me a little, but that all changed when I found this one by Shiseido. I have read tons of reviews and people seem to love this eyelash curler. I would never spend 20 bucks on something like this, but after reading so many positive comments, I decided to give it a try. I am so impressed! It really works ...

Beauty Talk | Travel Essentials
As much of a product junkie that I claim to be, I do like to keep it light when traveling. You wont find me packing my entire makeup collection in an already stuffed suitcase. Let's be real, I like to stick to the essentials. This pallet by Urban Decay is a major space savor. I've been on the hunt for a good pallet and when I saw that they were releasing the "Naked On the Run" pallet back in December, I got pretty excited. I like that it has practical colors for everyday, while also giving some shades that can give you a smokey eye. I even use the matte brown to touch up my brows. Major bonus that the mascara and eyeliner are actually good too! The lipgloss it comes with is pretty, but I like something a little more pink. So I went with two of my favorites from NARS (Lodhi Satin Lip Pencil and Turkish Delight..a winning combo!) I always take a few makeup brushes with me that are the most versatile for the products I use. To take my makeup off, I use these Say Yes Wipes. They are so easy to travel with and they get all my makeup off. I love not having to worry about a spill in my Truffle Makeup Bag. Anyone else been there before? Gift Guide | Be Mine
With Valentine's just around the corner, I wanted to share some inspiration whether you are giving or receiving. We are doing a fun gift exchange at school, so I have been on the hunt for budget friendly gifts. I am loving this "Blah Blah Blah" Mug and this monogramed notepad. Both are under $30 and are so fun for work or play. I am also wanting to invest in a blush bag. I love this one from Tory Burch and the crossbody option is an added bonus! I just purchased that Nars Lipgloss in the color "Angleika" and it is by far one of my favorite pinks. I usually stick to more of a subdued shade, but this pop of pink was the right touch for spring. For more gifting ideas, see my other gift guide here. Happy Shopping! xx

Scarf | Earrings | Watch
My beauty routine is really quite simple. However, I am convinced that it's the products I use that make it so easy. As a self proclaimed "beauty junkie", I've had my fair share at testing out new brands and trying different cosmetics. I guess that's what I get after spending 6 years working at a beauty shop during high school and summers of college! After posting the picture above, I was surprised to have received so many emails and comments about my makeup and beauty routine. Thank you guys for all of your questions & comments!
Below is a list of my daily must haves and what I was wearing in the photo above. xx
1. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (color 4.25) This is a great foundation for normal/oily skin. I like that its light, but still gives great coverage. The Foundation Brush is the best brush ever! I never have to deal with bristles coming our and it makes my foundation look so smooth. Highly recommend. I wear this over my Chanel Hydrating Beauty Cream.
2. Bobbi Brown Loose Finishing Powder (color Pale Yellow) I really like this powder. My skin is oily, but I notice that certain ...
Gift Guide | Valentines Day
With Valentine's Day less than a month away, I can't help but "think pink". While flowers and candy are nice, let's think outside the box this year. I've gathered a few of my favorite gifts (both luxury and steals) that are more than welcomed for the upcoming holiday.
Neons haven't always been my thing, but I absolutely love the color "blush". Especially for Spring and Summer! This Tory Burch Clutch is a classic and I am loving the new fragrance by Jo Malone Peony and Blush Suede. Some more affordable items (although you would never guess) are these XO Pave Studs and this Blush Scarf. Both under $30! I also can't get over this sleep mask--adorable! Happy Shopping! xx
