Happy Friday! I am currently working from our patio with my little helper Lucy (I say that as she currently tries to chew on my shoelaces). The weather has been so nice in Dallas and we are trying to enjoy it as much as possible before it gets too hot! I wanted to share this causal look from last week with you. If you've followed for a while, you know how much I love cardigans. ...

Black and White Espadrilles
During our recent trip to Florence, I wanted to be as comfortable as possible. We spent hours on our feet and walked pretty much everywhere. It was a great way to get to see the city!
When packing my outfits, I had to be very intentional. I packed several "basics" that could be worn with jeans, black pants, shorts etc. while mixing in a few statement pieces, like this floral dress (fit: tts, on sale!). This White Blouse was the perfect addition to my packing list. ...
Black and White Plaid
I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! Yesterday, we had a few friends from our Bible study over and hosted a little cook out. I'm not much help on the grill, but I do like to make festive drinks, desserts and appetizers. You know, the fun stuff. I found this easy flag dessert and it was a hit!
I wanted to share this black and white look from last weekend. I love plaid really any time during the year, and this Oversized Plaid Button Down is perfect for Summer. ...
Gingham Off The Shoulder Blouse
You guys may have seen me wearing this Gingham Off The Shoulder Blouse several times on Snapchat and Instagram (username: theteacherdiva) but it's one of those tops that I just want to wear over and over again. The "Off The Shoulder" trend is in full force this season and I can't help but add a few of these tops to my Spring and Summer wardrobe. ...
Mother’s Day Gift Ideas
With Mother's Day a few weeks away, I reflect on how much I appreciate my mom and everything she has done for me over the past 29 years. Though I am not a mom (yet), I can only imagine the sacrifice and hard work that goes into raising a family. My mom is incredibly special to me and I could not be more excited to partner with Barrington Gifts to share a fun collaboration with her just in time for Mother's Day. ...
Chambray for Spring
One of the most versatile pieces in my closet has to be this Striped Chambray Shirt. It's a perfect option for spring or summer as it can be worn with so many basics you probably already own! I wore it this past weekend with these white jeans (size up), but love the look of pairing it with my favorite denim (I received many questions about Topshop sizing, so I was sure to include that at the bottom of this post).
In my opinion, you can't go wrong with Chambray, especially a classic option like this. I've always loved my tops to fit a little oversized and since this runs a little big, I loved the style. I picked this up in the Topshop section at Nordstrom, and found so many other spring and summer must haves for under $100 (linked at the bottom of the post). I also have to mention these Suede Wedges...I got them as an early birthday present and they are quite comfy. The style is so classic and I can't wait to wear these more as it warms up.
Thanks for stopping by! xx Ashley

Color block Poncho
Hi everyone! First off, major apologies for my absence this week on the blog. After returning from New York Fashion Week, I set off to Houston for an event with Banana Republic Thursday night. It was so nice meeting those of you who came out and I appreciate the snapchat's and comments!
It's been a busy week, but I wanted to share with you all a look that I shot right before I left for NYC. This color block poncho it such a fun neutral and I love the faux leather trim. I've been wearing it with distressed skinny jeans or these white jeans and loved the way these over the knee boots looked with poncho. As much as I can't wait for Spring, this is a great piece to get me by until then (and you can't beat the price).
Thanks for reading! xx

Coffee Run
Each weekend, Austin and I look forward to what we call our "breakfast date". It's a little tradition we picked up from my in-laws (they've done this for several years!), where we go try a new place for breakfast on Saturday or after church on Sunday. We love this part of the weekend and this encourages us to get out, try new things, and enjoy the city we live in! Our schedules are pretty busy at times, so we look forward to that quality time, just the two of us.
One of our recent trips was to Boulangerie by Village Baking Co. on Lower Greenville. This little cafe is so adorable with white marble tables, checkered stools, and not to mention the pastries are quite yummy. This was our first trip but it will not be our last! I highly recommend the Almond Croissant and Austin recommends the Bacon and Cheddar Croissant.
I loved wearing this colorful outfit while we were out. You may have noticed, I tend to wear a lot of neutrals and black, so this was a change for me...but I love it! This Ferragamo Shoulder Bag from Luisaviaroma is the perfect neutral color and goes with so many prints and patterns. I loved the way it looked with this teal blazer. Seeing these colors together make me ...
Free People Floral Tunic
This past week the weather has been unreal in Dallas. 65 Degrees, sunny...no complaints here! I was excited to bring out some of my Spring and Summer tops, including this Floral Tunic ( be sure to read about sizing at the bottom).
Long, flowy tops are all I live in during the Spring. This one is unique with the cut out details on the back. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the open back, but I actually love the detailing (especially because you can still wear a regular bra). This top is so easy to wear, and definietly something that will get a lot of play in my closet this Spring.
OUTFIT DETAILS: Free People Floral Tunic (Ok- this is actually a dress, but a very short dress. If you are petite, this would be an adorable dress on you, but for me at 5'6 it was pretty short. I sized down to an XS and found that it makes for the perfect tunic. I would recommend sizing down if you want to wear this as a top) | Current Elliot Skinny Ankle Jeans (FIT: tts) | Louboutin Pigalle Pumps (borrowed from
Black & White Spots
If there's one blouse you need to own, it's this Tiered Tunic by Maeve. I love longer tops, so it's no surprise I found this one last week when checking out Anthropologie's 40% Off Sale. Unfortunately, this wasn't on sale, but it was too good to pass up. I actually want to buy it in white and another print!
For an office look, simply pair this tunic black pants (I also love these white trousers) . If you want a little more color, I found these green pants that would look adorable with this top. I love the idea of pairing this with a Nude Pump or keeping it comfy is a pair of flats.
If you're looking for something a little more casual, I opted to pair it with my Current Elliot Jeans and Nine West Purple Flats. This Wool Moto Jacket is (finally) on sale, and I can't help but get excited to wear this through winter and early spring. I love winter whites and this coat is beautiful (and ...
