With holiday parties and gift exchanges just around the corner, I wanted to share with you guys the perfect gift guide for budgets $25 & under! My teacher friends and I just drew names for "secret santa" and I couldn't help but start researching gifts around 25 bucks. Some of these are just too cute to pass up! Like these little bear slippers? Ah, I might just have to grab a pair for myself since they are less than $10. I also love any of the Kate Spade desk accessories. Even though I am constantly around "school supplies", I never grow tired of seeing adorable bow paperclips. Blanket scarves are a huge trend this season and I found the best all under $25. What girl wouldn't want a festive scarf?
If your local to Dallas, a gift card to Bellacures might just be the perfect gift! I've been there a few times and it seriously is the best gel mani, I have ever received! For a limited time, they are offering a free moisture rich add on for any nail service of $20 or more. Use code MR10 at your next visit. This is good through December 31, ...

15 Minute Curls Hair Tutorial
One of my favorite hairstyles is simple loose curls. It's the style I wear almost daily, and it's one that I can achieve in 15 minutes. It took me years to finally figure out how to curl my hair without it being "too curly" and I want to share with you a few tips and tricks to achieve loose curls that will stay all day. Here are the steps:
And yes, your hair can hold curls!
What You Need:
Spornette Teasing Comb
Boar Hair Brush (only $12!)
Hot Tools 1 in. Curling Iron (on sale for $30)
Hairspray (I used Bumble and Bumble Spray De Mode)
Step 1: Go to bed with wet hair. Letting your hair air dry is the best kept secret to helping hair hold curls. I use one pump of Drybar 100 Proof Treatment Oil when its wet and brush with a wide tooth comb. I throw my hair up in a messy bun and let it air dry over night.
Step 2: Depending on hair texture, you may or may not want to add a little more of the 100 Proof Oil. Obviously I color my hair so it can always use a little moisture. Brush your hair out using a boar ...

Tips for Balancing Work + Life
I posted a question box about 'work/life balance' a couple of weeks ago on IGS and it got such a huge response that I knew I needed to compile things into a blog post. First up, it seems like most people agree that it's nearly impossible, and also that there's just never going to be a perfect balance - which is fine. I've noticed more this year than ever before, with two boys, a full-time job, family stuff, working on some big projects, and just life, that my balance was suffering, and so was my mental health because of it. ...
Here’s How to Entertain a One-Year-Old
If you read his 1-Year Update, you know that George is now 14 months and officially a walker. He's changed so much over the last few months and let's just say keeping him entertained is harder than when he was a baby. He definitely likes to be on the move and switching things up constantly. And now that we're all at home and trying to work while entertaining him, I've tried just about every activity suggested to keep him entertained. If you're a mama to a child around George's age, I thought it would be helpful to compile what's worked best for us. ...

Black Friday Sales Worth Shopping (and what’s in my cart)
Cyber Week is honestly one of the most overwhelming weeks when it comes to sales, so I'm making it easy and sharing the places I shop and a few things currently in my cart. For clothing, I have this striped sweater and this pink feather dress (this feels a little out of my norm but love with silver heels for a party in my cart. I also bought the kids these Magnatiles, they are obsessed. I also have these pink wine glasses on my wishlist.
