I love trying new makeup and skincare products. And if you've been reading for a while, you know I love to try new things! Of course, I have my favorites that I use on a regular basis, but I also look forward to testing new products and sharing reviews with you guys.
These are the products that I am currently using. I have been really impressed with how they make my skin look and feel. My skin hasn't always been the best, so it was always a challenge to find makeup that didn't break me out or cause me to be too oily. These products seem to do the trick and I couldn't be happier!
What do you use on a daily basis?
1. Complexion Rescue Foundation- This foundation is amazing. I used Bare Minerals Loose Powder for years in high school and was thrilled to see they came out with this tinted gel cream. I like that this has a build-able coverage, and it's perfect for days when I want something light. I use a dime size on the smooth foundation brush for light coverage or a nickel size for a heavier look. Either way, it's made a huge difference for my skin!
2. Protective Face Base- Best. Primer. Ever. Not only does this have SPF 50 ...

Makeup Organization Tips
I don't know about you, but my makeup drawer was in need of a little spring cleaning. While our new bathroom does have more counter and drawer space, I desperately needed a better system for keeping my products organized and clutter free!
Let me introduce you to my GLAMluxe Makeup Organizer, aka the best thing ever! This was the perfect solution to hold my makeup and skin care neatly.
This beauty organizer is perfect because each drawer is a different height. My eyeshadow pallet and bronzer kit can be bulky, so it was nice to find something that can hold different packaging. You may have also noticed the dividers in the bottom drawer. These are removable and can be used in any drawer. I like this because I can separate my smaller items like eyeshadows, eyeliner, and concealer.
I love my GLAMbox and they don't want you to miss out on all the fun. GLAMbox is offering TTD readers 20% off with code diva. Have fun and tag me in your photos! I would love to see how you stay organized. Thanks for reading! xx

10 Minute Makeup Refresh
Up until the past few years, I never really carried makeup in my purse. Of course I had my go to lipstick and maybe a mirror, but that was about it. I realized as I started my career, that it was very typical for the other teachers to run and grab drinks or head to an early dinner after work.
I quickly found out that I needed a little refresh before heading out right after work. Like most of us, I don't always have time to reapply everything, so I've found that all I need are a few key products to give my skin that healthy glow in a short amount of time.
I have always been impressed with YSL Beauty and I was so excited to try the new 'Pop Water' Collection (a Nordstrom exclusive). All of the colors are on point for Spring and Summer.
Here are the steps I that take me from desk to dinner in 10 minutes or less. I'd love to hear what you try!
Step 1
I've always struggled with oily skin. My dermatologist says I will be thankful for that, but for now, I am trying to cover up that excess oil. Whether you have oily skin or not, it's always a good idea to blot and powder at the end of the day. I don't know about you, but my face could use a little more coverage come 5 o'clock. This pressed powder by YSL is the key to keeping my skin ...
Braided Updo
Here is one of my looks from our trip to Seattle last weekend. The weather was perfect and surprisingly warmer than Dallas. This grey hi-low sweater and pink scarf (under $15/ identical version here) were perfect for walking around downtown and exploring Pike Place Market. I love this sweater because it's very soft and a great transition piece. The color is so easy to pair with other prints or colors too!
Real quick, I wanted to ask you for some feedback. I received a few emails & comments asking about my hair when I posted this to instagram...so I want to see what you guys think too. Would you want a braid tutorial? Video or step-by-step pictures? I love getting comments and emails from all of you and many of you have requested hair and makeup tutorials. One of my goals this year is to post tutorials more often. I have received positive feedback from my Beauty Talk series, but I just wanted to check back and get your thoughts. Videos? Step-by-step pictures? None? Love to hear from you! xx

My beauty routine is really quite simple. However, I am convinced that it's the products I use that make it so easy. As a self proclaimed "beauty junkie", I've had my fair share at testing out new brands and trying different cosmetics. I guess that's what I get after spending 6 years working at a beauty shop during high school and summers of college! After posting the picture above, I was surprised to have received so many emails and comments about my makeup and beauty routine. Thank you guys for all of your questions & comments!
Below is a list of my daily must haves and what I was wearing in the photo above. xx
1. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation (color 4.25) This is a great foundation for normal/oily skin. I like that its light, but still gives great coverage. The Foundation Brush is the best brush ever! I never have to deal with bristles coming our and it makes my foundation look so smooth. Highly recommend. I wear this over my Chanel Hydrating Beauty Cream.
2. Bobbi Brown Loose Finishing Powder (color Pale Yellow) I really like this powder. My skin is oily, but I notice that certain ...

Now that NYE is a couple of days away, I wanted to share a fun makeup tutorial for a night on the town. My daily routine is usually pretty simple. But since the holidays are here, I like to make for a more dramatic look. Here is a fun and simple way I like to glam up my holiday look!
I used the following products:
MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation in NC25 // Bobbi Brown Foundation Brush // Benefit Fake Up Concealer in Light // MAC Eyeshadow in Nylon // MAC Blush in Tenderling // Lorac Behind The Scenes Eyeshadow Primer // MAC Lipstick in Dangerous // Stila Liquid Eyeliner // Lancome Hypnose Mascara // Makeup Forever Mist & Fix // Anastasia Contour Kit & Brow Duo (color Taupe)

Oh bras. Let's be honest, it can be hard to find the best fit (I know I am not alone in this battle!). And sometimes, what "fits" isn't always the pretty. Undergarments are something we wear everyday, so I like to invest in something that makes me feel confident. If that means doing some extra research to find something that fits my body, I'm willing to do it. And when I am in the market, Nordstrom is the first place I start.
If you are looking skivvies, I'd recommend stopping by your local Nordstrom this Friday and Saturday (October 24 - 25) during the We Heart A Great Fit event. I love the cause behind this event and the awareness it promotes for women and breast cancer. For each bra purchased online or in-store,
Black Lace
I used to think that wearing all black was overwhelming, however my mind has changed since I found these black lace shorts. I wanted a look that would be nice for a night out and decided to mix shades of black with this Equipment Silk Blouse and this black blazer (now on sale) to throw on later. I like the idea of sticking to one color palette, but this would work just as well with a white blouse or dressed down with chambray and flats.

Scalloped Lace
Lace is such a huge trend this season. It's feminine and girly and is super versatile. I love this Crochet Version from Our World Boutique. I paired this top with these Floral Pants from Anthropologie because I loved the way the scalloped lace looked against the bright colors on the pants! For an alternative look, I can't wait to pair this top with my distressed denim shorts for an easy summer outfit.

Lavender Lace
This past weekend Dallas experienced some beautiful weather! It actually felt like Spring with sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80's. I've been anxiously awaiting warmer weather, so I was pretty excited to be able to finally pull out my first pair of shorts for the season. I paired this playful lace top from Catch Bliss Boutique with my favorite white blazer and rolled up denim shorts. Catch Bliss has the most adorable tops for Spring and I couldn't pass this one up!
