There's nothing quite like a new shade of lipstick just in time for the holidays. As a self proclaimed product junkie, I have been very excited to share this gift guide with you! Whether your shopping for your mom, sister or friend, these are sure to put a smile on someone's face.
I always look forward to the holiday gift sets. And while, I might be a sucker for the cute packaging, I also look for products I will actually use throughout the year. This lipstick set from Laura Mercier is a practical (and cute) gift set. The colors compliment most skin tones and I find they look great worn alone or as a trio. Nordstrom has a ton of options so if you're looking for more red or nude colors, they've got you covered!
Here, I've layered on the pink lipgloss (included in the kit) and I love the pop of pink. It's such a fun color!
A great "all in one" option is the Enchanted Eve Face ...

I absolutely love this PJ Short Set. I have them in the blue (true to size) and they are so incredibly soft. I definitely wouldn't mind getting another pair! I also love this little sleep mask. And at $14, it's great to give your best girlfriends or secret santa. I just purchased these grey over the knee boots (available in black here). I have been on the hunt for an affordable pair, and these were perfect. Thanks for stopping by and stayed tuned for more gifting ideas coming next Friday!

The Packing List | A Weekend Cruise
I love a weekend getaway. Don't we all? In just a few short days, Ashley and I, along with a few other girlfriends will be heading to New York to set sail on the Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas. Though this is a quick trip, I am looking forward to sailing around the New York Harbor and experiencing Royal Caribbean's newest smartship.
New York in the Fall is my absolute favorite. The air is crisp and the trees are a beautiful orange. I can't wait to see the gorgeous city as we cruise the harbor.
The Anthem of the Seas is the first of it's kind and I am looking forward to trying out some of the exciting amenities. From a skydiving simulator to bumper cars, this ship has everything. Personally, I am looking forward to trying a few of the many restaurants (18 to be exact) and hopefully checking out the
Michael Kors Holiday
Without a doubt my favorite seasons are Fall & Winter. I love this time of year for many reasons, but especially for the holidays. With November just around the corner, I am so excited to team up with Michael Kors and share some pieces from their holiday collection. You all know I wear this boyfriend watch almost daily, so I couldn't wait to see what new pieces they came out with for the holidays.
For me, I am more of a minimalist when it comes to jewelry, but for the holiday I always like to add a little sparkle. I love how these pieces provide a subtle, yet glamorous touch, whether they're worn to a cocktail party or holiday brunch with friends. My favorite piece has to be the mesh crystal necklace or rounded mesh bangles. I am a big fan of mixing gold and silver and these are perfect for stacking or worn alone.
What are your favorite pieces? Thanks for reading! xx
The Packing List | Seattle
Hi Guys! I'm pretty excited to be heading off to Seattle with Austin tonight! He has a work conference there next week, and since I have an extra personal day to spend, I figured why not. I love little trips like this and can't wait to spend the next few days with him!
Seattle is truly one of my favorite cities. My husband has never been before, so I am excited to take a long weekend and explore the town together. Pikes Market is of course at the top of my list and maybe a little trip to Bainbridge Island. I would love to hear some of your suggestions! Food, shopping, places to see? I'm all ears!
As for packing, I like to keep it simple when it comes to my carry on. Give me a few magazines and a notepad to make a list and I am good to go. The OMG Bag from Lo & Sons is one of my favorite carry on's (a co-worker of mine uses this as her teacher bag and I am thinking about making the switch as well) since it fits everything so well. Like most people, I like to bring my laptop when traveling. This bag makes it worry free with the secure laptop pocket. I also like that it has plenty of storage for shoes, pens & notepads, and any other loose items I might throw in along the way.
Eek! Send me suggestions...I would love to hear them! xx

Holiday Events in Dallas
I love living in Dallas. I've lived here since I was 12, and each year, more and more opportunities come to Dallas to make this city even more exciting. I know a lot of you live in the area, and some of you have emailed me saying you were traveling here for the holidays. I always get asked about dining, shopping, and entertainment so I figured I'd share some of my favorite places to go while in the city for the holidays. Most of these are family friendly so feel free to bring on the kids! Happy Holidays! xx
1. Highland Park Village This has always been one of my favorite spots in Dallas. During the holidays they have every tree (more like branch) lit up with beautiful white lights. It's so gorgeous! Each year, Austin and I have our "Christmas Date" here and we hit up Mi Cocina, Starbucks then drive through the neighborhoods to look at lights and jam to Christmas tunes. While I visit the village often, this is probably my favorite date that we have and I look forward to it every year. The shopping is pretty fabulous too!
2. The Carriage Rides at Highland Park Village While you're in Dallas, why not take a festive horse drawn carriage to take you through the neighborhoods of Highland Park. Sit back and sip on some hot cocoa as you look at all the lights and homes decorated for the holidays! My family has done this before and it was so much fun ...
Holiday Sweater
Hello, Monday! Over the weekend, Austin and I took part in the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. Have any of you been last minute shopping? While, fighting mall traffic is not ideal, it's all part of the experience. We had a few last minute gifts to pick up and it's the only time I can get Austin to the mall so I was not about to complain. I really do love getting out this time of year, even if it is just a few days before Christmas. Everything is so festive and the decorations are gorgeous! I am going to be posting a Dallas holiday guide soon, so be sure to check back tonight as I share my favorite things to do in the Dallas metroplex for the holidays.
This Red Sweater from Chicwish is the perfect look for the holidays. I love the fit and color. I threw on this plaid scarf (only $28) with my over the knee boots (my favorite pair, sold out in tan only black available) to give the look a more festive vibe. I am also loving this version in green!

Holiday Plaid
Everyone needs that holiday top they can wear from season to season. For me, I can always go to my trustworthy plaid button down. I love the classic red and tan combo, but I couldn't pass up this green version. It just seemed to festive (without being overdone) to pass up. I love that I can wear it tucked in the front or untucked for a "tunic" look. This top will be worn many times throughout winter and I can't wait to pair it with this faux fur vest. How do you style plaid?
