To be honest, I'm not sure what we're doing for the 4th of July this year. We're definitely still in the newborn haze and dealing with poor Charlie's reflux (at least that's what I'm thinking it is), but it's usually one of my favorite weekends of the year. We might try to head out to the lake or to a friend's BBQ/pool and if we do, here's what I'll be shopping. Think lots of easy-breezy summertime essentials, and some quintessential red, white, blue, and of course, some non-cheesy accessories. ...

Easy Summer Makeup for Glowy Skin
Summer for me usually means less makeup, more bronzer and lots of SPF. And now that life in the newborn and toddler stage are both in full swing, I don't have quite as much time for getting ready like before. It's key for me to find products that work well and won't melt off my face (like this all-in-one face palette or tinted BB Cream with SPF from Nordstrom)
I've found a routine that works great for me and leaves me with that glowy summer skin that I desperately want to achieve. This look is breathable, has SPF and still gives you a little coverage even without an actual foundation. Need I say more? ...
What We Have in Our Diaper Cart
I'm glad y'all enjoyed the Baby Essentials I shared this week, and as promised, today I'm going to cover what we keep in our rolling baby cart. We tend to keep this in our living room or bedroom depending on the time of day, and it's been such a life-saver during the newborn stage. ...
My List of Baby Essentials After Having Two Kids
One of the most requested posts as of late has been my baby essentials or to link certain things I'm sharing for Charlie. I know it's taken me some time to get around to it, but I wanted to make sure I could recommend and use some of these items on Charlie before publishing this. Between George and Charlie, there have been certain things that I didn't end up loving, but what you see below are things I can confidently recommend as my baby essentials. I hope it's helpful, and let me know if I left anything out. I'll share what we keep in the rolling cart soon, as I know that's another popular topic in my DMs. ...
The $29 Dress I’ve Worn Non-Stop Over the Last Few Years
I've shared this dress more times than I can count, and while I've shared it again and again on LTK, I thought it deserved its own blog post. At this point, it's by far one of my most worn items in my closet...and did I mention that it's $29? Yep, one of the best Amazon Fashion finds ever. I've dressed it up with heels, dressed it down with sneakers, and usually tend to throw it on with sandals as a cover-up or easy summer option. It works well with a bump, too! Should I keep going? ...
May Top 10
Phew, it's been a whirlwind of a month and I just want to say 'thank you' for hanging in there while I'm not as active on IGS and everything else. I know everyone understands, but there's definitely a part of this job that makes you feel out of it if you're not working and posting, even on maternity leave. ...
Father’s Day Gift Guide
Father's Day is coming up and I know guys can be tricky to shop for, so I wanted to put together a post with some ideas. Most of these could work for either your own dad or your husband and they're all Austin approved! ...
Memorial Day Sales I’ll Be Checking Out
Lots of sales are happening this weekend so I wanted to cover some of the best I've seen. I might not be getting a lot of sleep right now, but I'll be finding time to check these discounts out. Let me know if I'm missing any good ones! ...
What to Gift New Mamas
After sharing a thoughtful care package idea for new moms last week, I had some of you ask for more ideas, which I loved putting together. I've been on both sides - being the friend who wants to give a new mama a gift, and always being a new mom going through the tough newborn stage, so I think I have a good sense of what's helpful. Obviously every woman is different but I don't think you can go wrong with something cozy, something relaxing, something monogrammed, or something lux that you know she'll love. ...
What I’m Living In Postpartum
It's taken me a few weeks to get this post together, but I definitely wanted to share what I'm actually living in postpartum this time around. Since Charlie's case was different from George's and I needed to go back to the hospital (sometimes multiple times a day) to be with him, drop off milk, etc., I ended up having to actually get dressed a lot more often than I did with George. And don't get me wrong, it wasn't cute, but postpartum is raw and real and I am totally OK with that! Not to mention I was still recovering from my C-section so truly, I had to be careful with what I was wearing so that I was decently comfortable. ...
