Thank you to everyone who was able to make it to the Galleria on Saturday for the Nordstrom Beauty Bash. I was thrilled to be a part of their day and had a blast getting to meet everyone. Beauty Talk | Wedding Proof
Packing is hard for me. I am very indecisive and it takes me forever to figure out what I want to bring, especially when it comes to products. Obviously I can't take everything. Although, if you've traveled with me, you may think I do. I realized it was time to bring out the big guns. I had to choose items that were small in size and could withstand late nights, long days and lots o' celebrating. This was an easy choice considering I have been a loyal fan of all of these goodies for a while. Some were even used for my wedding and they definitely did they trick. CHANEL ROUGE ALLURE in Passion : Great lipstick that is moisturizing yet lasts hours. It's almost like a stain. This will definitely be my go to lip color for the weekend.
WELLA Stay Firm Hairspray: Can you say humidity resistent? This baby is amazing. I use just a little bit over long curls to give a subtle hold. This can definitely be a firm hold, so a little goes a long way. Also, have UV protectors to protect color from fading. Nice!

This post takes me back to the good ole days of working at the beauty shop. In highschool, college, and up until last summer I worked at a local Beauty Store/Boutique. I LOVED it. I was pretty sure I found my other dream job! Ha! I loved researching products, attending trainings, and just helping people find good hair and skin care. Since I've been around "professional" products for the last 10 years, I have developed into somewhat of a product snob. Bad I know, but I guess you can say I have been brainwashed. My justification is that I only wash my hair three times a week...so $20 a bottle doesn't seem as bad. My Husband would disagree.
Loreal is a company that I have used for years. They pretty much own the product industry. I have tried their drugstore products all the way to their high end Kerestase. While I love Kerestase, it can be so expensive! I have found a product that is in the middle and works as well as Kerestase. The Serie Collection is amazing. With summer quickly approaching I can't help but feel the need to bust these bad boys out. They are my secret weapon to tan skin. I have tried many different tanning lotions, sprays, gels etc. and in my opinion none compare to these.
My absolute favorite is St. Tropez Mousse. Worth. every. penny. This stuff is so good I have even put it on my face (which is super sensitive btw) and it looked like I got back from Cabo. I was a little freaked out by a mousse, but it goes on so nice. It actually comes out brown so you have instant results. Think of it like a stain, for your skin. The s similar to this, but it goes on clear and a little nicer on your wallet. Might be better for you newbies out there. My next favorite is the Tan Towel On The Glow. This is the "designer" version of the Jergens lotion but I like it better. Better smell and doesn't look as orange on my skin. Who doesn't like something that adversities, Look Better Naked? Neiman Marcus Beauty Event
One of my favorite times at Neiman Marcus is when they host their Spring Beauty Event. I love buying makeup and getting some freebies makes it all the better.
This time, I decided to go with a classic and give Bobbi Brown a try. I have used her Shimmer Gloss and Shimmer Brick for many years but I wanted to give her foundation a try. I was determined to find something that would actually stay on my face and not wear off by 4:00.
The lady at the counter seemed pretty confident she could hook me up with something that would take care of that problem, however I had another issue I needed to deal with. She handed me a magnified mirror with lights and pointed out how dry my skin was. Then proceeded to tell me once you hit 25 you need to start using anti aging skin care and moisturize like it's your job. Cool, I'm turing 26 on Sunday and have yet to get on that. I was pretty embarrassed to admit that I only use moisturizer at night...if that. I just assumed since I was more oily, that I got a free pass on moisturizer. No? She put some of the hydrating face and eye cream on my face and I could tell right away my skin felt different. Maybe I was just "in the moment" but it felt amazing.
