A few weeks ago, my family and I traveled to Seaside, Florida. We had the best time and I can not wait to go back! While we was there, Megan (my sis-in-law) and I spent one morning exploring the town of Seaside and Rosemary Beach. We loved grabbing coffee at the local market and stopping by Willow and Willow + Woods for a little shopping. The Tory Burch, Trina Turk, Rebecca Taylor labels caught our eye in the window so we were excited to pop in and see what goodies we could find.
When we stepped inside Willow at Rosemary Beach, I immediately feel in love with this dress by Rebecca Taylor (among many other things). With fall on it's way, I am starting to think about transitional outfits that are practical, yet on point for the new season. I love this dress because it can do just that and the boho print is very fun for fall. I paired it with these fringe heels (also found at Willow) by the brand,

Greetings from California! You may have seen some of our snaps and my recent instagram pictures, but we ditched the 107 degree temps for beautiful California. We left Thursday for Sonoma for our friends wedding and are finishing our trip in LA visiting my grandparents. We are planning to hit up Disneyland tomorrow and I am so excited about it. I grew up in Orange County so it is nice to come back and see family and friends.
I received quite a few emails about these outfits, so I wanted to share some details on sizing and fit below. Let me know if you have any questions!
Also, thank you so much for all of your kind comments and encouraging words regarding my post from last Thursday. I genuinely appreciate each of you.
Have a wonderful day! XX Ashley
This top is old from Gap, but the one I linked is the updated version and fits very similar. I am wearing a medium for a more relaxed fit. The jacket runs TTS and I am wearing a small. This
The World Is Your Oyster
The saying goes, “There’s nothing so stable as change.” But that doesn’t mean I’m a fan of it. In fact, I really don’t like it. However, no matter how hard we try, change is always around the corner.
As many of you know, I started this blog nearly three years ago. It began as simply a hobby. The Teacher Diva was merely a creative outlet to share thoughts and moments in my life with my family and friends. I wanted my content to focus on my life with Austin, our traveling adventures, fun hair and beauty tips, and the occasional outfit post. From the beginning, I wanted this blog to be a place to share my daily inspiration with the world and to serve as a creative outlet.
Never did I think this site would provide such amazing opportunities. Over the past three years, I've had the chance to work with some of my favorite brands, travel to new places and meet some truly inspirational people. It has been an incredible (and scary) journey, but something I have loved every minute of. Each day, I look forward to sharing my new post with you.
But the journey hasn’t been easy. As my name suggests, I have also been teaching full-time while blogging part-time. Since I was eight years old, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Whenever someone would ask what I wanted to be when I grow up, my answer was "teacher” without a second thought. As I made my way through college, receiving my Bachelor and Master of ...
Back to the Basics
If there's one thing I look for in my everyday outfits, it's simplicity. There's something so refreshing about a crisp white blouse, a great fitting pair of jeans, and some strappy heels. While I like to play up simple pieces with fun jewelry or a bold clutch, I also like to stick with the core items that get me from season to season.
If you follow along, you probably already know how much I love the brand Equipment. They make the best silk tops on the market...period. When I first saw an Equipment blouse, I was a little shocked by the price tag. (I know, it's silk, but still) I tried to find similar pieces but nothing really compared to the fit, style and over all look that Equipment has.
I finally broke down and bought a blouse last spring, and loved it. I got the Nude Signature Silk Blouse and was thrilled that it wasn't sheer, and was just the right amount of "relaxed" (if you are have a more petite frame, the Signature Slim Blouse would be a good fit for you). Since then, I have splurged on two more, black and you guessed it, ...
Green Shift Dress
Now that August is here, my mind is slowly starting to think fall. I find myself planning fall outfits, dreaming about pumpkin spice lattes and organizing a trip back to my alma mater for homecoming. However, right now, it is still extremely hot in Dallas. This past weekend was 106 degrees (!!!) which makes me think we will never get that cooler weather.
This Green Embroidered Shift Dress have been a great piece to have in my wardrobe. I love that it has off the shoulder sleeves and a unique embroidered pattern to compliment the simplicity of this dress. Joy Han always makes fun clothing, especially dresses. We are going to Mexico at the end of the month to celebrate our 3 year anniversary, and this dress will definitely be coming with me. Nothing says "¡Olé!" quite like bold colors and embroidered sleeves.
Hope you guys have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Sale Alert | Baublebar
As you may have noticed, I wear a lot of Baublebar. It is my favorite online retailer for fun and affordable jewelry for any age or style. If you're in the market to update your jewelry box, you may not want to pass up this sale.
Today, they are having their "Christmas in July" sale and offering 30% off sitewide with code XMASINJULY.I love this site because I can always find something trendy or classic. These Tassel Earrings are a huge trend right now. I wore them here and loved how lightweight they were.
I am also a fan of the classic and simple pieces. I am more of a minimalist when it comes to everyday pieces, and this necklace is one that I wear often (you can see how I styled it here). These Pearl Back Earrings are also on my ears every single day. Currently, I have these earrings and this ring in my cart. What are you loving from the Baublebar sale?

Today I wanted to share a few recent snaps from our trip to Florida last week. Many of you asked about sizing and quality, so I made sure to include that at the bottom of each picture. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for stopping by!
Also, I have to do a shout out to my SIL, Megan, who decided to bring back her blog. She started it last year and after taking a break, she's ready to get back into the swing of things! She is an amazing writer and loves to work out. So if you are into healthy living and looking cute while working out, she's your gal! Check her out at That Running Girl Blog.
This top is so soft! I went up to a size Medium because I wanted a loose fit. These shorts run a little big, I sized down.
These earrings are surprisingly so light. They are very easy to wear and not heavy at all.
This coverup stretches over time, I am in a small. It's very soft!
Nordstrom Sale Reviews
As many of you know, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is still going on, but not for long! Many of you have asked about my sale picks for Fall (specifically layers), work clothes, and shoes. I know right now it's hard to think "Fall" when we are having 100 degree days, but these are staples that I will wear all the time in the next few months. We have a few trips coming up in September and October, and all I can think about is this waterfall cardigan (on sale, under $50), these jeans, with these flats. Comfort is key when traveling! ...
Black Crochet Dress
Happy Sunday everyone! Today we are leaving beautiful Seaside, and heading back to Dallas. This family vacation has been a blast and I always get a little bummed when it's time to head back home.
I wanted to share a look we shot last week in Rosemary Beach. I absolutely love this black crochet hem dress by Joy Han. It's such an easy travel dress and very comfortable. It's a little embarrassing how many times I've worn it on this trip, but it just goes to show how versatile this dress it.
Don't you love finding those pieces that you know you will wear over and over again? I would definitely consider this a staple.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by! xx

Blue & White Floral Dress
Hi again from Seaside! I can't believe our trip is almost over. We have had such a great time in Seaside and we are loving our last few days here! Today we are going to grab a quick breakfast and head to the pool. We have family photos tonight so we aren't staying out too late today.
This Blue and White Floral Dress (see below for fit guide) was perfect to wear out to dinner Monday night. It's a fun summery option for vacation, night out, or brunching with the girls. I love the print, because you can wear it with neutrals or with a pop of color. I wear this Magenta Crossbody Tote all the time and I loved the way it looked with this dress.
Have a great day and thanks for reading! xx
