Happy Monday! Is anyone else moving slow this morning? I am going out of town later this week and while I am very excited, I am also preparing for a very busy next few days. I spent this past weekend trying (key word: trying) get ahead with all my lessons and sub plans, attempt packing, and run a few last minute errands.
This pink cardigan was a cozy addition to my silk blouse. It's super soft and makes for a great transition piece. I loved pairing it with my leopard clutch and favorite nude pumps.

Blue Check Scarf
When it come to Texas weather, layers are a must. I always prepare by picking up a few new scarves before each season. This scarf (or poncho) is a deal at $35. You may have seen my instagram where I wore this to work on and just paired in with black skinnies & flats.
The pastel blue and the oversized check is such a fun pattern for spring. Despite the crazy winds, this made a great outfit for running errands and picking out some new dining room chairs (for the third time. I'm so indecisive!). Happy almost Friday! xx

Blush & Red
Blush has always been a favorite color of mine for many reasons. One of the best things about this soft neutral, is how you can pair it with pops of color or contrasting hues. While I never wear red, I really like how these colors complimented each other (not to mention it makes for a very festive Valentine outfit).
This dress really surprised me. Like I said, I never wear red, but figured this orangey-red would make for a great transition piece for Spring. I found it to be extremely versatile and fun to wear. I love the idea of pairing it with a white crossbody and some brown wedges for a casual look. Oh, and throw in a side braid just for fun! Have a great Wednesday! xx

Beauty Talk | Travel Essentials
As much of a product junkie that I claim to be, I do like to keep it light when traveling. You wont find me packing my entire makeup collection in an already stuffed suitcase. Let's be real, I like to stick to the essentials. This pallet by Urban Decay is a major space savor. I've been on the hunt for a good pallet and when I saw that they were releasing the "Naked On the Run" pallet back in December, I got pretty excited. I like that it has practical colors for everyday, while also giving some shades that can give you a smokey eye. I even use the matte brown to touch up my brows. Major bonus that the mascara and eyeliner are actually good too! The lipgloss it comes with is pretty, but I like something a little more pink. So I went with two of my favorites from NARS (Lodhi Satin Lip Pencil and Turkish Delight..a winning combo!) I always take a few makeup brushes with me that are the most versatile for the products I use. To take my makeup off, I use these Say Yes Wipes. They are so easy to travel with and they get all my makeup off. I love not having to worry about a spill in my Truffle Makeup Bag. Anyone else been there before? Gift Guide | Be Mine
With Valentine's just around the corner, I wanted to share some inspiration whether you are giving or receiving. We are doing a fun gift exchange at school, so I have been on the hunt for budget friendly gifts. I am loving this "Blah Blah Blah" Mug and this monogramed notepad. Both are under $30 and are so fun for work or play. I am also wanting to invest in a blush bag. I love this one from Tory Burch and the crossbody option is an added bonus! I just purchased that Nars Lipgloss in the color "Angleika" and it is by far one of my favorite pinks. I usually stick to more of a subdued shade, but this pop of pink was the right touch for spring. For more gifting ideas, see my other gift guide here. Happy Shopping! xx

Black & Gold
Statement necklaces are pieces that I love, but hardly wear. I am usually more of a minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I like simple and dainty pieces like my Initial Necklace that I wear daily. But every once in a while, I come across a statement piece that I just want to wear with everything. That's how I feel about this Pearl Bib from Baublebar. Since this makes such a statement, I kept everything else pretty simple. This black tunic (actually a dress), distressed jeans, and black booties (under $30!) were just the combo I wanted for this relaxed look.

Gigi New York Spring Collection
Today I am thrilled to be partnering with Gigi New York to launch their new Teddie Tote for Spring. I have admired Gigi New York and their handmade leather handbags for a while now so it was a huge honor for them to even consider me for their Spring launch.
You guys have seen me sport last season's version and I am even more excited about the new and improved Teddie Tote. As a teacher, this really is my "it" bag. I take it with me to work everyday. It's the perfect size to hold papers and lesson plans, while still leaving room for the fun stuff like my makeup bag and wallet.
The hardest part for me was choosing a color. The spring colors are all so gorgeous! I stepped out of my comfort zone a little and went with a pop of color. The Island Green is the perfect color to step up any simple outfit. I loved pairing it with this Camel Cardigan and Boyfriend Jeans. The green looks so pretty against the neutral tones!

A Girls Guide to a Classic Timepiece
It's no question that I love watches. Not only are they practical, but they are a fun accessory to wear and can make any "arm party" look on point. Funny thing is, I never really wore a watch until I started student teaching my senior year in college. I remember all I wanted for Christmas that year was this gold Michael Kors watch (and it's still going strong after all these years!).
Throughout the years, I've attempted to step up my watch game by investing in a few more timepieces. I wanted more options to wear on different occasions. I was looking for an oversized gold and black watch and one that was a little smaller and more simple but with a leather band. I went to Nordstrom to shop their collection and I loved that they had something a all price points. I wasn't ready to make a huge investment, but I knew I wanted a quality timepiece that would last for years to come.
I found this Michael Kors watch and it has been one of my favorites as of late. I love the oversized face and black and gold details. And it's great to wear just about anything. I still was on the hunt for a watch with leather straps and remembered my co-worker had the most adorable watch from Kate Spade. I loved the girly features and the minimalist design. I knew the leather straps would be a ...

Pink Neutrals
If there's one this I have a lot of, it's cardigans. I am a teacher after all, so I guess it fits the stereotype right? All joking aside, cardigans don't have to look frumpy. They can easily be the most versatile piece in your closet. I love that a cardigan can transform your entire look, especially like this one from ASOS. This long cardigan (under $50!) is a piece that I wear on the weekends or at work with these pants (my favorite ever!). The weather last week was glorious, and I couldn't wait to wear these lighter layers. It was nice to spend the day outside without having to tote around a heavy coat. This is definitely going to be a piece that I wear (all the time) this spring.
Also, I want to mention that you can grab this bag for 50% off! There's only a few left in this color, but I really like the brown or white. You can see me sporting here, here and here. Happy shopping! xx ...
