For me, flowers are symbolic of Spring. Not only can they make your house look nice and cheery, but it can also add some color to your wardrobe.
While I normally opt for less “girly” patterns, there’s something about florals that have been appealing to me lately. When incorporating florals, start small—a floral accessory, scarf, bag, or shoe is a safe way to begin. Another option is to start with a floral blouse or tee under a favorite blazer, or try a statement dress with a solid cardigan or jacket. These prints should be playful additions to your look. Whether you decide to go bold or just add a bloom here and there, this print is something you need in your wardrobe this season. You can find the print in all sorts of variations – from pastel to bright, and small to extra large. Below are some of my floral favorites!

Blazer Girl
Something that every girl should own is a great blazer. Growing up, I can remember my mom rocking the blazer (complete with shoulder pads of course) and I thought it was the sign of power. Maybe because I thought my mom was awesome, or maybe because those shoulder pads were just so big. Either way, I'm glad to see they are making a come back (minus the shoulder pads).
To me, a blazer is the best way to give your wardrobe options. I love to layer basic tees, tank tops, and blouses with a good fitting blazer. If you are new to this, I suggest going with classic options like this black version from J Crew or this white one from Madewell. Blazer's shouldn't be a scary thing to try, instead have fun with it and try mixing it with clothes you already have in your closet. To see more options, visit my picks below!

For The Home | Candles
I love shopping for candles. Not only do I want my house to look nice, but I want it to smell wonderful too! I keep candles in almost every room of my house. I've found that the combination of glowing candlelight and being surrounded by my favorite scents helps me to unwind in a peaceful atmosphere. I'm also sucker for packaging. A good looking candle is important to me because it also doubles as my decor. Above are some of my favorite candles and some that I would like to try. What are your favorites? ...
New Kicks
I have loved the slip on sneaker ever since I laid my eyes on this pair. I knew it was a trend to try, but wasn't sure if I wanted to spend $200 on a pair without really knowing if I would be "cool" enough to pull these off. When I found this pair, I knew I couldn't pass them up. Not sure if I can pull these off, but oh how I love them. The best part? They were less than $25. (I know! Crazy considering they look identical to these) I kept the look super casual with my favorite black denim, J Crew V- Neck, Silky Blazer and jewels from Lola James and Love Always Couture. I can't wait to wear these through out Spring & Summer.

Nordstrom X BaubleBar
Some exciting news launched yesterday with the collaboration of BaubleBar and Nordstrom. I am so excited because BaubleBar is a brand that I have loved for quite some time now and obviously loving Nordstrom, I knew this would be something that I wanted to check out.
At BaubleBar you can get gorgeous jewels that don't break the bank. My personal favorites include the Acrylic Monogram (seen here) and the Happy Text Necklace (seen here). When I previewed the new collection a few weeks ago, I knew these were pieces I needed to get my hands on. Some personal favorites include this Hinge Bracelet, these Crystal Drop Earrings, and these Bar Stud Earrings. Be sure to check out the new collaboration. What are your favorites?

Beauty Talk | Pastels for Spring
Some people collect stamps, I collect nail polish. I am pretty sure this habit stems back to the good old days of working in the Beauty Shop during my high school days and throughout college. I would literally buy every new color that hit our shelves. Since I've left the salon, the habit still goes on.
I can't help but be drawn to pastels colors during Spring time. I love the soft, feminine look against my skin. I've narrowed it down to some of my favorite oldies and newbies.
OPI- Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs This color has always been a favorite of mine. Not only is the color the perfect milky pink, but the name is pretty cute too. This is a color that everyone should own and not just save for Spring and Summer. I've been known to wear soft pinks year round. Something about a soft pink just screams "chic".
ESSIE- Rock the Boat When I saw this color on the shelf it stood out in such a fun way. But I was a little apprehensive to wear such a daring color. I tried it anyways and I kid you not, it's the one that I get the most compliments on. I love wearing it! It's a fun way to break up the normal and still keep it age appropriate. Go Ginza is another pretty lavender. I love the chalky color, especially with a little sun. Tarte Deco is my absolute favorite coral ...

Joules | Rain Boots
Some items in your wardrobe are just considered necessities. A nice winter coat, a LBD, and a pair of rain boots. Since the weather in Dallas has been so gloomy, it was only fitting that I pull out my Joules Rain Boots. I finally got my hands on a pair and I was pretty excited at the chance to wear them.
This is my first pair, so I went with classic black and gold. I love the glossy finish and the touch of gold. For a more colorful option, you should check out some of these. Joules has a great selection of prints and colors that would be perfect for Spring. With a rainy season ahead, it might be worth your investment to pick up a pair.

Beauty Talk | Neutral Tones
Spring is here and so are new beauty trends. Natural and nude tones are so hot right now. Of course you will see pops of pink, but these nudes are the way to go.
I have always been a fan of Butter London products. Their "Lippy" lip gloss is super pigmented and has some amazing lasting power, but I'm a bigger fan of their nail polishes. This color,Yummy Mummy, is so pretty! It's the right shade of "nude" and looks great on all skin tones. I was skeptical at first... worried it would look blah against my skin tone, but it's perfect! I can't pull off a nude lip, but this is as close as it gets! I pair Nars Lipstick in Viva Las Vegas with Chanel LÈVRES SCINTILLANTES in #87 for the perfect soft pink. I'm always impressed with Nars and Chanel but when layered, they really do have quite the effect. Like most of you, I want my lipstick to actually stay on for more than an hour. When I wear these together, I get just that!
If you haven't tried Jo Malone yet, I highly suggest it! At least go in to Nordstrom or Neimans and get a sample. You won't regret it. Jo Malone is all about layering scents. My go to combo is Blackberry & Bay cream with Lime Basil and Mandarin perfume.
