Growing up in Dallas, TX, Ashley Robertson developed two passions at an early age. She had a heart for educating young minds and a love for fashion. In college, Ashley pursued her first dream, teaching. Ashley graduated with a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education Degree and a Master of Literacy Degree. She spent six years in the classroom teaching first graders and kindergarteners to pursue their dreams, explore their creative outlets and to not be afraid to take a chance on learning.
Being a believer in her own advice, Ashley started The Teacher Diva to express her own creativity and love for all-things fashion. Today, she works full-time on The Teacher Diva to bring her readers the latest inspiration in fashion, travel, lifestyle and home decor. When Ashley is not working, she’s spending time with her husband, family or volunteering at her local elementary school.

Beauty Talk | On the Go
If there's one thing I love it's makeup, (those who know me are thinking DUH) but what really gets me is what it's carried in. This Boulevard Bag is the cutest. I received it as a bridesmaids gift and we all went crazy over the "hello gorgeous" and gold monogram. It hold's the perfect amount of "on the go" essentials. Even for someone like me who has a lot of "essentials". ...

Red & Navy Stripes
Usually I steer clear of red. I've just never liked the color on me, unless its in the form of nail polish or lipstick. However, my thoughts changed when I saw this maxi at Gap. The navy and red were the perfect mix and just what I needed for my vacation. I loved pairing it with my panama hat and straw tote for that nautical look. Looking at it now it would also make the perfect fourth of July ootd! Ha, next year I guess! ...
In My Beach Bag
It's been a while since I've done a "What's In My Bag" post so it was only fitting that I did one for the beach divas out there. While in Jamaica, I seemed to have "a lot" of essentials. My husband told me it wasn't practical to tote around all my stuff so I had to limit myself to the necessities. I took along my trusty One Truffle, No. 1 Clarity Pouch, because it's plastic canvas is ideal for beach conditions. If it gets wet, no big deal! These are a few life savors when it comes to a day in the sun. What are your beach necessities?

Jamaica Is For Lovers
Who knew one year of marriage would fly by? Although we had our official one year anniversary in March, we were able to finally celebrate last week. We are huge fans of the "all inclusive" concept. It's just so easy. We went to Sandals St. Lucia for our honeymoon and LOVED every second. We knew we wanted a similar experience. We decided to try out Jamaica. Neither of us have ventured to that part of the Caribbean so it was a new and exciting experience for both of us. This week I will be sharing more pictures of our trip...stay tuned!
