Hi, my name is Ashley and I am a lipstick-aholic. That's right, I hate to admit it but I have a problem when it comes to lipsticks. I have way too many and I keep buying more. My husband thinks I'm crazy and he's probably right. In my opinion, you can never have enough! Here are my top ten faves...what are yours?
.01 Chanel Lip Gloss in SeaShell- The perfect gloss for a nude lip.
.02 NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Cruella- This color is a true deep red. I have been looking for one that wasn't too orangey or cherry and this was it! Stays on pretty well too. Looks good worn alone or under a gloss.
.03 Butter London Lippy in Queen Vic - Love this bright pop of pink. Don't be scared off by the "purpley" look...it goes on like a pink. It's a thicker gloss so it doubles as a lipstick too. Stays on for a while, but not like a stain.

What better way to experience a wine tasting tour than in Napa Valley? Thanks to some of our good friends in SF, we were able to experience wine country the right way. On our way we did a few touristy things such as visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Loved the views! This picture above needs a little hashtag love with #nofilter...that is how beautiful the sky was that day...crazy! Here are some of my favorite moments from our trip to Napa...enjoy!

San Francisco: Day 2
Visting Fishermans Warf was probably my favorite part of our whole trip. I just loved the crisp air, noisy sealions, and delicious food on every corner. Here are some snapshots of our day around Fishermans Warf.

Style Me Monday | d’Orsay Flats
Jenni Kayne Pink D'Orsay Flat // Chinese Laundry Easy Does It // Jenni Kayne Seafoam D' Orsay Flat // Forever 21 Coral D' Orsay Flat Ok, so if there is one thing I've learned from having a job that entitles me to be on my feet ALL day, it's flats over heals. Wedges can sometimes be an exception, but honestly I was crazy when I tried to sport heals while teaching kindergarten. With that being said, I have become best friends with ballet slippers, loafers, and now these guys. I absolutely love the look of these pointed toe flats. D'Orsay Flats are pretty pricey but other designers are coming out with similar styles that are more affordable. I am currently loving the cobalt Audrey flats from Shoemint, only $79! ...
San Francisco | Day 1
Better late than never....a little recap of our weekend trip to San Fran. Looking through my pictures I realize there are wayy to many for one post...so this will just be part 1. Ah, where to start? Well, If you have never been to San Fran, I suggest you make a plan to visit... immediately! It was seriously such a BEAUTIFUL and exciting place to be! I could definitely move there. I mean I know it's the 2nd most expensive place to live but I'm sure a teacher salary would totally cut it there right? HA only kidding. Back to our trip. Day 1 was spent exploring the Union Square...Ghirardelli Square and of course shopping. I am really lucky to have a husband that is sweet enough to not complain and at least pretend to enjoy a day of running in and out of stores for just a "quick look". I'm not cruel though, I know he loves chocolate so it was only fair to sweeten the deal by ending up at the Ghirardelli store for some delicious hot choco (thanks Lauren for the suggestion). Can't wait to share day 2 and 3 with you! xo-ashley
Wearing
Army Green
One of my favorite looks these days is a military inspired jacket paired with a fitted tee. Spending this past weekend in San Fran gave me the perfect opportunity to sport this look. This casual outfit was perfect for the chilly days walking around the city. I can't forget to mention this fabulous necklace. I knew this edgy piece from Sira Mara was the perfect way to top off my look. Can I also say it's under $10? Amazing.

Check Mate
I love any excuse to wear layers. The weather in Dallas has been so crazy the past few days so layers is a must. My go to look has been a good button down paired with skinnies, oversized cardigan and a nice stack of arm candy. This turquoise chain is now one of my favorites thanks to Catheryn Ann Designs. I am crushing over these styles as well!

Do In Dallas | Warby Parker Bus
Back in 8th grade I tricked my parents into thinking I needed glasses. After many days of convincing, we went to the eye doctor. As you could probably guess, I didn't do to well on my eye exam and ended up "needing" glasses. I was so pumped and thought I looked so cool...until I got massive headaches and my eyes hurt. Bummer!
Well, with all that said you could only imagine how excited I was to find out that Warby Parker was coming to Dallas. If you don't know, Warby Parker is an eyewear company that makes both prescription and non prescription glasses for only $95. They also have an amazing selection of sunglasses too! When you make a purchase they will donate a pair of glasses to someone in need. Awesome! Warby Parker is based in NYC but they are currently touring select cities in their decked out "school bus". I was so excited to hear Dallas was on their list of stops. If you live in the area...go check it out! They leave Dallas tomorrow, Sunday, Jan. 27th. In the mean time, I will be sporting my new specs headache free. ...
