Blush & Red

Blush has always been a favorite color of mine for many reasons. One of the best things about this soft neutral, is how you can pair it with pops of color or contrasting hues. While I never wear red, I really like how these colors complimented each other (not to mention it makes for a very festive Valentine outfit). This dress really surprised me. Like I said, I never wear red, but figured this orangey-red would make for a great transition piece for Spring. I found it to be extremely versatile and fun to wear. I love the idea of pairing it with a white crossbody and some brown wedges for a casual look. Oh, and throw in a side braid just for fun! Not going to lie, this has been a long week. And it's only Tuesday.Yikes! Nothing cheers me up than a new pair of shoes. I know you can agree with me, right? I seem to have quite the addiction to the color white these days. From home decor and clothing, it's always a good color for Summer. With that being said, I have been on the hunt for a simple, oversized white blouse. To me, when I think of Summer tops, this Crepe Blouse from Chic Wish comes to mind. The Packing List | Summer Musts

  With Summer here, the opportunity for little weekend getaways is definitely greater. My husband and I don't have any kids  so there's little holding us back from little spontaneous road trips. Whether it's driving to a nearby city or staying at the in-laws for the weekend, I always like to be prepared.  I try to keep things pretty organized when packing so it was a no brainer to use my One Truffle Clairity Pouch to hold all my essentials. Around the House | Pretty Things

I've told you all that I have been updating our home and doing a little re-decorating. I'm still wanting to get around and do a full post on our home, but this will have to do for now. With that being said, I have become addicted to coffee table books. These colorful ones caught my eye and are the perfect addition in our living room. These books not only keep me entertained and provide endless inspiration, but it makes me so happy to see stacks of them throughout our home.
