The White Romper

       If there's one piece I'm loving for Spring and Summer, it's this white romper from Topshop. Usually, I have a difficult time finding rompers that are flattering and fit correctly. As much as I love them, they don't seem to look as cute on me as they do others! However, I absolutely fell in love with this one. I was a little nervous it would be sheer or see through (like most white dresses and pants tend to be) but luckily, that was not the case. This white romper has the right amount of structure and is perfect for a dressy or casual occasion. I personally loved pairing it with these lace up heels (I know, I wear these all of the time, but they're just that good). Any time I wear a romper I always pair it with a heel to give my legs a little extra length. If you're looking for a smaller heel, these are very similar. Striped Midi Skirt

Good morning from Mexico! Austin and I are in Cabo San Lucas for the week, and I can't wait to share with you a fun project we are working on for The Teacher Diva. The weather has been simply gorgeous and I hope to have some fun beach and Summer content for you by the end of this week [be sure to follow along via snapchat (the teacher diva) or instagram to see more from our trip]! Until then, I am excited to share with you this girly look for Spring. I love midi skirts, and when I was teaching I wore them often! They are surprisingly so comfortable and easy to move in. Whether you have a desk job or are on your feet all day, this Striped Midi Skirt would be a perfect option. The Classic Trench Coat: Under $100

Now that Spring is only a few weeks away, I am starting to pull out some of my favorite transitional pieces. A staple I always turn to each Spring is my trusted trench coat. This versatile piece, is easily one of my favorite items because it can be worn with countless items I already own in my closet. Whether it's paired with an evening look or kept casual with jeans and flats, it's a great way to complete your look. I love this Black and Tan Trench Coat from Charming Charlie (under $75). Personally, my favorite way to style a trench is with a striped tee shirt and black jeans. I threw on these black pumps, but you could easily pair with your favorite flats to make this work friendly. The Little Black Dress

They say every girl should own a little black dress. Something to have on hand for any occasion and versatile enough to wear with any accessory. While I couldn't agree more, I also love the idea of a simple, cotton black dress for something a little more casual. This black shift dress is just what I was looking for to wear as we transition into Spring. I love the long sleeves and ruffle detailing on the hem. Not to mention, it's so soft and doesn't wrinkle! I plan to wear this dress with heels or these lace up sandals as it gets warmer. Free People Floral Tunic

This past week the weather has been unreal in Dallas. 65 Degrees, sunny...no complaints here! I was excited to bring out some of my Spring and Summer tops, including this Floral Tunic ( be sure to read about sizing at the bottom). Long, flowy tops are all I live in during the Spring.  This one is unique with the cut out details on the back. I wasn't sure how I would feel about the open back, but I actually love the detailing (especially because you can still wear a regular bra). This top is so easy to wear, and definietly something that will get a lot of play in my closet this Spring. The Essential T-Shirt

Over the past year, I've really started to make smart choices when it came to purchasing clothes. When looking in my closet, I realized that my "trendy" and cheaper clothes have seen better days (you know, the top that you wash once and it starts to unravel...!!!) and my classic pieces are still the ones I gravitate towards first. It's made me more aware that trends can be fun, but if I want something to last, I need to choose quality over quantity. Recently, I was introduced to Zady, an online boutique featuring unique products hand made by artisans from all over the world. Printed Shorts

While Summer in Texas can be brutally hot, I still love the look of long sleeves with shorts. Obviously, they aren't for 100 degree days, but I find that I love to wear this look for dinner or if it's overcast. These printed shorts (on sale) are one of my favorite styles to wear for summer. I like that they are a little longer and structured. They don't wrinkle easily- which is amazing! I like that they can be dressed up with a silk blouse tucked in wearing heels, or worn a little more casually seen here. This pink knit sweater (on sale) is one that can worn all year long. It's not sheer by any means, but the material isn't as thick making it appropriate to wear during warmer months. Striped Boyfriend Blouse

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I know last week I wasn't around too much and that is only because it was the last week of school. If you are a teacher or have friends who are teachers, you only know how crazy it can be! With that being said, I am very excited that Summer is here and I am super excited to work on some exciting projects that have been on hold during these next few months. Now, let's talk stripes. This is a print that will always be a favorite of mine and if you saw my closet you would know I have a hard time saying no to a striped top. However, this past year, I started cleaning out the things I never wear and really looking for those key pieces that will always be in style and remain a wardrobe staple. Baggage

It's no secret that I love handbags. Big or small, they are all welcome! This isn't something new, and I have my Mom and Grandma to blame for my addiction to purses (sorry, Mom!) Have I told you guys the story of that purse? It all started when I was 8...and all I wanted for Christmas was a purse from JC Penny. I can picture it now. Brown, suede leather, with a patchwork design. Classy right? I talked about that purse every day. To my surprise, Christmas morning came and I opened the most beautiful box with (I remember every detail) the most beautiful red bow. As I opened the box, I screamed "That Purse!".  It really was a glorious day for my 8 year old self. I felt so grown up and "cool" to wear a purse like my Mom and Grandma. That's a story that my mom loves to tell, but if one thing's true, it's that I have a serious love for bags. This Marc Jacobs bag is a little different than my typical bag, but I really needed a big bag with soft leather. The best part about this bag is that it can be worn on my shoulder or as a crossbody. I love it! Personally, I love this gray color all year long, but if you're wanting something a little more Summery, it comes in more pretty colors too!
