This time of year I always deal with the most annoying problem—chapped lips. I’m sure most of you have the same issue and if you don’t please tell me your secret! I have a drawer full of chapstick, lip balms, and scrubs but nothing seems to do the trick. I know this is caused by the change of weather, but I am determined to get down to the bottom of this. I have searched high and low for some reviews on “serious lip care” and found the list below to be the “best sellers”. I am anxious to try the The Lip Slip and Diptyque Soothing Lip Balm, both got amazing reviews! Please let me know what works for you! XX

I love, love using Aquaphor! It is my go-to item and I highly recommend it! The price point is great and you can purchase it in different sizes. xx

The Fresh lipsticks are great in terms of being moisturizing while also adding color and not showcasing chapped lips, but they don’t actually help dry lips. I like Rosebud Salve, available at Sephora and other stores like Urban Outfitters. I also like the Kiehls lip balm. I use those during the day, but at night I put a layer of Vaseline on my lips and by morning they are much better.

About 2 years ago I found the BEST chapstick for chapped lips. Being a musician, it has always been a terrible thing, especially in the winter. This chapstick works wonders! I bought a box of it on Amazon and have been using ever since. Best of all? It’s CHEAP!

I would recommend this to anyone!!!

Stay hydrated. It’s amazing what an extra glass or two of water can do for your lips. I use Burt’s Bees Original about 5 times a day year round. After doing both for the last year or so my lips have been smooth and far from chapped. It’s definitely a commitment though 🙂

I love plain chapastick…I’ve tried all the fancy stuff and I always go back to the cheapo Chapstick.

I’ve always been a fan of Kielhs lip balm (not to mention their hand salve, that’s been a lifesaver for my hands this winter). But, I recently got “the lip slip” as a Christmas gift that I’m excited to try! Great post!

I know this is answering differently than you were looking for, but my lips are horribly chapped in the winter when I don’t drink enough water. I live in a suburb of DC so we definitely get cold weather, but the only time it gets to my lips is when I’m not well-hydrated. In addition to that I just use old school Chapstick brand tubes and I love them! Haha
