Each New Year, like most people, I try to set a few resolutions. Today, I’m sharing one focused on skin care. one more. As a beauty junkie, I am always excited to try new products and discover what works best for my skin. But sometimes, I struggle with maintaining good skin care habits. Establishing a consistent skin care routine is an investment in your skin. The aging process will be much kinder if you consistently utilize the right products. Recently, I have been trying the H2O skin care line. And I am happy to say, I have found my 2014 skin care line. And I love it!
- CLEANSE My skin type has always been oily and sensitive. I usually stick with a mild gel cleanser to reduce any irritation. The H2O Plus Face Oasis Cleansing Water fits the bill. It removes all my makeup without leaving an oily or greasy feeling. As an alternative, I have also used (and love!) the Sea Results Sea Mineral Cleanser. The Mineral Cleanser is perfect for those with drier skin types.
- TONE I’ve never been into toners – what do they do? And why do I really need one? After doing some research, I realized just how helpful these guys are. Toners remove any leftover makeup and impurities and are often packed with nutrients that exfoliate and smooth your skin. I actually use two different toners. I use the Oasis Face Mist in the morning and the Aqualibruim Marine Toner at night. The face mist is oil-free (a must!) and actually works for re-setting makeup throughout the day. I have one in my gym bag that I use to freshen up with after a work-out. I prefer to use the Aqualibruim Marine Toner at night because it gives my skin a full dose of vitamins and sea minerals.
- NOURISH Do you remember when I confessed to never using moisturizer? Oh, how times have changed! I don’t go a day without putting some type of moisturizer on my face. I am currently using Oasis Hydrating Lotion on my face and Oasis Instant Hydrating Stick for my eyes. Both are perfect for normal/combination skin types like mine. I really love that the Hydrating Lotion is oil-free and contains SPF 30…both are huge factors for me when choosing moisturizers.
- TREAT A retinol (vitamin A) is imperative to those of us who are concerned about aging. It boosts collagen, smooths out fine lines and even helps with pigmentation concerns, like sun spots or scaring. The H2O Deep Sleep Recovery Serum is non-irritating and has even helped with some of my old blemish scars. I am making it my goal to not go to bed without this stuff on…it’s magic in a bottle!
I have enjoyed following this routine and have already seen a difference in my skin texture and appearance. It’s amazing how different my skin looks and feels based on a daily routine. What are some of your current skin care routines? Do you have any skin care goals for 2014? I would love to hear them! XX
