Beauty Talk is one of my favorite series on The Teacher Diva. While I love the fashion, I also love reviewing beauty and skin care products and giving you all feedback. I guess it stems back to my years working in a beauty salon and constantly working with customers to help them find the best products for their skin and hair. I loved researching and trying everything! It was such a fun job and now I am excited I get to share my favorites with you guys.
A trend that is so hot for Spring this year is pink! While I may not have a ton of pink in my wardrobe, I do have a lot in my makeup bag. I just picked up this YSL Lipstick in color #9 and I can’t stop wearing it. It looks a little mauve-y in these pictures, but it really is a great pink. The guy at the makeup counter said “It’s the most flattering shade and looks great on all skin tones”. Of course that sold me instantly, but when I tried it, I completely agreed! I have also worn it with the YSL Golden Gloss in #49 for a brighter pop of color.
For the nails, I love Zoya Nail Polish in Barbie (wore it when I got engaged so of course it’s my favorite!) and Essie Forget Me Nots, seen here. The blush is from Cargo (Catalina), another great brand that gives off a lot of pigment (so go easy with this guy). This perfume is from Balenciaga is one of my favorites. It’s a stronger scent, and has a touch of blackberry and violet. It’s more of a spicy scent than sweet. The best part, it actually lasts all day. Whew, such a relief to find a good perfume that doesn’t fade after a day on the playground. Ha!

I loved this post, and the pictures were so cute! I absolutely love your beauty reviews. I don’t like to spend too much money on makeup, so it’s great to read what products are actually like before I make the decision to splurge (like on the Cargo blush I’ve been debating on).
