A few weeks ago, Austin and I traveled to Cabo San Lucas to work on a few projects for The Teacher Diva. Many of you followed along via snapchat and instagram, but if you are a new follower (welcome!) you can see more from our trip here or read my Cabo Travel Guide from last Summer.
One place we wanted to visit while in Cabo was Flora Farms. I was so excited to get to go during our trip! Flora Farms is a ten-acre organic farm in the foothills of the Sierra de la Laguna Mountains in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico. While touring the property you will see their organic farm, grocery market, restaurant and various stores.
Flora Farms was a 35 minute cab ride from our hotel, so we made sure to leave in plenty of time to view the property before sunset. When we arrived, we grabbed a drink from The Farm Bar and toured the farm while we waited for our table at Flora Fields Kitchen. The food was absolutely incredible. We sampled a variety of items, and everything was delicious. Their menus vary, but I highly recommend the Ricotta Gnocchi, Fried Chicken, or Pork Chops. Come hungry because you will definitely want to have dessert!
Some tips to keep in mind before visiting Flora Farms:
- make reservations, this place is very popular!
- there are taxis available on the property
- allow 2-3 hrs to get the “full experience”. You will want to allow plenty of time to walk around, grab a drink at the bar, relax and enjoy!
