When it comes to handbags, there is no doubt that they are my favorite accessory. I love that feeling of shopping for a new bag, however, making the purchase isn’t always the easiest for me. I happen to be very picky and look for bags that are not only appealing, but very practical. Whether it’s a splurge or save, I still want to make sure I am making smart purchase.

With all the styles out there, I only find there to be a few that I personally gravitate towards most. I often get asked about my favorite brands and styles, so I wanted to share with you 3 styles that I find to be the most classic and versatile at all price points!

THE EVERYDAY TOTE

This tote is without a doubt the best budget friendly bag I’ve ever purchased. I bought this reversible tote bag (under $50) a few months ago and have been using it mainly for travel, but I can not get over the quality! I also love that it is reversible. Nordstrom carries several variations of this bag, and though I have not tried each style, I would definitely recommend this brand. This will be your everyday work bag, you know, the one you can’t live without. This also fits my Macbook comfortably, which is always a plus!

I also love the Tory Burch York Tote. I do not own this bag, but I have carried my friend’s before (don’t we love those friends who like to share?) and have still not stopped thinking about it. I like that it was “structured” so the sides did not fall when sitting it down. I’ve read several reviews from happy customers talking about this bag…maybe I will add it to the wish list!

THE CROSSBODY

This hands-free style, is one of my favorites for every day wear. It’s comfortable and the perfect accessory for travel (I wore a crossbody everyday in Europe!) or running errands. Most cross body’s offer an adjustable shoulder strap, making it so easy to create a second style wearing it on your shoulder.

I love my Kate Spade Small Hayden Crossbody. I’ve worn this two-toned bag several times and I am still impressed with how well it holds up.  This is made with Saffiano Leather (my favorite) making it easy to wipe off and clean. This leather is also very durable and somewhat scratch resistant. As much as I wanted a white/grey bag, I was pretty nervous about the maintenance. Like many of you, I wear dark denim and I have heard that light colored bags can easily get stained by the dye in darker denim. I purchased cautiously, but have yet to have any issues. I did however, accidentally spill coffee on the side, and was shocked to see it wipe off and leave zero stains. This was a win for me!

THE SATCHEL

Oh how I love a good satchel. This is hands down my favorite style of bag. I love the shape, structure and handles of this satchel. There’s just something about this style that I find so classic. Plus, I love that they hold so many of our daily essentials!

My two favorites that I own would be the Small Sac De Jour  and the Tory Burch Robinson. The YSL was definitely a splurge, but the quality is top notch. It is probably my absolute favorite bag in my closet. Like I mentioned with the Kate Spade Crossbody, the lighter color is something to think about. I am very careful with this bag as the leather is more delicate. I try to avoid dark denim if possible.

The most bang for your buck would have to go to the Tory Burch Robinson. I purchased this bag several years ago, and you guys it is still going strong. I will always recommend this bag to friends because it really is a great designer bag that will last for years to come. Also the style is pretty minimal so you can wear it over and over again without it getting “old” or going out of style. The Tory Burch is made with that Saffiano Leather (the best for preventing scratches), but it also has several zippers and pockets making it very easy to stay organized…or at least try!
