As promised here is a peek into my travel beauty bag. I shared a few snapchats (username: theteacherdiva) of my products during our recent trip to Europe (travel details coming soon!), but wanted to include a full post going into detail on each product. A few of you were curious about my skin care routine and miscellaneous beauty items so I was sure to go into detail on each of those.
Feel free to comment or email (theteacherdiva@gmail.com) with any questions! xx Ashley
PS: Thanks so much for the sweet comments from yesterday’s announcement! We can not get enough of this sweet girl. I am a first time puppy mom, so if you have any products that your pup loves (or that you find work really well) OR any tips in general, ha, please tell me about them! xoxo
SKINCARE
Skin care is a huge part of my daily routine. I have struggled with blemishes over the years, but I’ve learned that with consistency (and the right products) my skin can look healthy and smooth.
I mentioned a few weeks ago in a Weekend Edit that I started using TULA products. I can not say enough how impressed I am with these products. I use the Probiotic Face Wash and Hydrating Day & Night Face Cream daily and the Exfoliating Treatment Mask three times a week (you can also use it to spot treat blemishes). The mask is amazing (I actually have it on my skin now as I write this post).
To be completely honestly, I was very hesitant to try new products. For the past year, I have been on a strict regimen from my dermatologist and finally felt like it was working. But like many of you, I’ve seen TULA getting so much press this past year and I couldn’t help but be a little curious. I decided to test it out and see if I noticed any changes (both good and bad).
I’ve been using this for going on three months and I am very pleased with how this works with my skin. TULA’s whole focus is on Probiotic Technology . You might have already know how good probiotics are for you and your gut health by TULA wanted to create something that was also good for your skin. The TULA technology defends against harmful external bacteria with a proprietary blend of important ingredients: probiotics, nutripeptides, Vitamins A C & E, antioxidents and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. Plus, all TULA products are gluten-free, paraben-free, phthalate-free, and don’t contain mineral oil, propylene glycol or petroleum.
Highly recommend these products! The Discovery Kit is perfect if you just want to try it out. They are easy to refill to take on trips!
EYECREAM
I’ve been using The Illuminating Eye Gel by La Mer for months now, and I love the way it makes my eyes feel (especially in the morning). This was something I made sure to not leave behind. It has a cooling effect that makes tired eyes look more awake and less “puffy” (hello jet lag).
In terms of “brightening” I honestly haven’t noticed any life changing results…I still use my under eye concealer just as much as ever. However, the cooling factor is pretty nice. I defineitly prefer this eye gel over others that I’ve tried.
MAKEUP + MAKEUP BRUSHES
Of course when I travel, my makeup is the first thing I pack. Unfortunately, I’ve left it behind a couple times and I will not make that mistake again!
During our trip I wore foundation by Ashley Sievert (I shared a little about that here) and packed a few of her brushes. The Brush Kit comes with this makeup brush holder, which is super handy for travel. I also packed my Beauty Blender and Nars Contouring brush.
I try to avoid “pressed powder” compacts if possible since they have a higher chance of breaking during the flights and airport hustle. I purchased the NARS Multiple in Orgasm for my blush and actually loved this cream version much better than the powder version. I apply it with my beautyblender or my It Cosmetics Foundation Brush. You can also use The Multiple on your lips, but I wasn’t a fan.
For mascara I packed my Benefit They’re Real Eyelash Primer. I promise this is amazing! And used it with It Cosmetics Super Hero Mascara. I love that mascara but I am finding it to dry out sooner than my others. I may have to read up on how I can avoid that because it really works great. I also packed my nueLASH Serum. I have been using this for 4 months now and use it almost every night. I can tell a huge difference in my lashes! My mom always says, “Where did you get those lashes, you were not born with those!”. We laugh but it really does work! I purchased the smaller bottle and it’s starting to run low. I think I only have a few weeks left before I’ll need to re-buy.
Lipsticks are always my favorite thing to pack (and wear). I wore Beloved, Bellisima and Dolce throughout the trip. Those are by far the color I wear the most!
MISCELLANEOUS
My perfume of choice is the new Diptyque fragrance in Eau des Sens. It smells so fresh and perfect for Summer. The packaging is so chic!
This is also a little random but my favorite deodorant ever is the Cashmere Mist. I remember girls wearing this in college and I was shocked to see them drop $25 on a bottle of deodorant. But I guess I was curious because I ending up buying one for myself. I love it and love the clean scent. It lasts for a while too!
Mink Pink Robe (I am in the xs/s) I also love the matching nightgown (on sale) | Tory Burch Cosmetic Pouch | Nail Polish is the CND Shellac in Cake Pop (my favorite!)

Thank you for the travel beauty tips! Travel is such a big part of my life, my job, and my blog so I really appreciate getting new ideas and products to try all the time.
I’ve found that skincare is definitely the most important thing to be mindful of and maintain when traveling and those Tula products look perfect.

Great tips! I actually have that deodorant as well. My husband freaked out when I told him it cost $25, but it does last a long time and it smells so wonderful! It’s the little things, right? 🙂
