The Ultimate Summer Sandal Guide

I have to admit I have a weakness for shoes, especially a good pair of Summer sandals! In the spirit of the new season, I wanted to share with you all my top favorite styles for warm weather. I guess it’s no surprise that they are all neutrals, you know I’m a sucker for all things white, cream and tan! These are the styles I wear the most and highly recommend. I love that they are so versatile and can be worn with many different pieces hanging in your closet.

HINGE “DREA” LACE UP SANDALS

If you’ve followed my blog for a while, you know I wear this pair a lot. Guilty! These Lace Up Heels from Nordstrom are very comfortable, easy to walk in, and so versatile. I actually purchased these last Summer, and love that they restocked this style again this year.

FIT: I found them to run true to size. They are also very easy to clean. I worried that with this lighter color, they would get dirty, however that was not the case. I highly recommend this pair!

IVANKA TRUMP “CATTI” SANDAL

These Lace Up Sandals are a newer addition to my closet, but one that is getting a lot of attention lately. These suede sandals are so comfortable and very soft to wear. I love wearing these with my jeans, shorts or dresses.

FIT: I found these to run true to size. They are made really well and the suede leather is very soft. These are great for both narrow and wide feet. The tie is adjustable making it a “perfect fit” for any size.

VINCE CAMUTO “TARITA” CUTOUT HEELS 

Block heels are a big trend we are seeing this year and I am all for it. Not only do they make wearing heels bareable, but they are actually easy to walk in. This style from Vince Camuto is a great example. First, let’s talk about the detailing? It’s gorgeous!

FIT: These shoes run true to size. I also have to share that these are very comfortable. I’m always impressed with Vince Camuto shoes, but these surpassed my expectations. I honestly thought, oh this is just another trendy shoe, but really they are very easy and comfortable to wear. I always get stopped when I wear these…everyone wants to know where they are from! Love, love, love this pair. I am wearing the color “Smoke Cloud”.

REBECCA MINKOFF “GEORGINA” STUDDED SANDALS

I love these Gladiator Sandals by Rebecca Minkoff. They remind me so much of a pair by Valentino, just a fraction of the cost! I like to throw these on with shorts, dress or skirts. They are one of my go-to pairs for days when I’m on my feet for a while or if I’m doing plenty of walking.

FIT: I found these to run a little big. I’m normally an 8-8.5 and when buying sandals usually go up to an 8.5. These I ordered in an 8 and I found them to fit great. They don’t have too much arch support, so I wouldn’t wear them for lots of walking

TOPSHOP “WISE” PLATFORM WEDGE

As you can tell, I have a thing for heels that lace up or tie, including these Platform Wedges by Topshop. These were too fun to pass up this summer. I love the tie and cork wedge!

FIT: These run true to size, however, follow the sizing in the parenthesis. I am normally an 8-8.5 and I ordered the 8.5 in these. They are a little harder to walk in, so I would not recommend these for a time when you plan to do some heavy walking, but for dinner & a movie, these are great!

MARC FISHER “ADALYN” ESPADRILLE

These Platform Espadrilles are one of my favorite purchases of the season. You’ve probably already seen me wear them on instagram and snapchat (username: the teacher diva) several times. When I first saw these, I was pretty intimidated by the hight of the platform. I mean, come on! But honestly, they are really easy to walk in. They are pretty comfortable too!

FIT: I found these to run true to size. I know espadrilles can get a bad reputation, but these are made really well. I wear these a lot, and I haven’t experienced any “fraying” or issues with the fabric.
