We are only a few days away from my favorite sale of the year, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. After reviewing the pieces on sale, it’s been very hard to narrow down my picks. If you aren’t familiar with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, let me start off by giving you a brief introduction to, in my opinion, the best sale of the year.
WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is a huge sale that features brand name clothing, shoes and accessories at significant discounts. I love this sale because it’s current trends and new pieces created just for this sale.
The Anniversary Sale works differently than your typical sale. Instead of the items starting off at full price then being discounted, the items start on sale, then go up to their original price on August 8th.
WHEN CAN I SHOP?
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts with Early Access on July 14th-July 21st. This is an exclusive time to shop the sale FIRST before it opens up to the public on July 22nd. All prices go up August 8th.
In order to shop Early Access, you must have a Nordstrom Debit Card or Credit Card. I personally have the debit card, and love that I get points that convert to Nordstrom Notes (i.e. Nordstrom Gift Card) plus credit for alterations.
If you are considering it, I suggest applying sooner than later. I applied 2 years ago (on the day Early Access started…not the smartest move on my part) and it took a few days for everything to get processed.
WHAT DO I BUY AT THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
Well, let me start my saying it’s hard to practice self control. I go into the sale with a budget, but it’s hard to not get carried away. Especially considering the items featured in the Sale Preview.
I always pick up on a pair of suede booties, a faux fur vest and a new pair of tall riding boots. Though Summer is in full swing, Fall will be here before we know it and why not get a head start? I also love the beauty exsclusives (it honestly might be my favorite) and can’t wait to see what gift sets they have in the sale.

Doesn’t it look exciting? I’m honestly not sure how Nordstrom Rewards works. It’s different than having the debit or credit card correct? I do believe you get points just like the debit card, but I’m not familiar with the specifics.
