When it comes to investment pieces, I only have a small handful. Like most of you, I take the “quality over quantity” approach and stick with those core pieces that get me through each season. Don’t get me wrong, I like to mix high and low price points, but when it comes to coats, I tend to find ones that will stick with me year after year.
One item that I find to be worth the investment, is a quality leather or suede jacket. This jacket from Parker, is the perfect piece to wear over your favorite sweater or tee. I love wearing this jacket with jeans and flats (you know I’m pretty casual) but I also wore it last weekend over my black dress. The neutral color also works with almost anything!
When shopping for investment pieces, the key is to find ones that are high quality and incredibly versatile. After all, if you are making the investment you want something that will last you year after year. I don’t invest in “flashy” or super trendy pieces. While they may seem to be the hot item at the moment, I know they won’t hold their value come next season. I like to stick with the classics like this one. What pieces do you typically invest in?
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend! xx Ashley
