When it comes to travel, comfort is at the top of my list. I look for soft layers, comfortable shoes and travel accessories that make it easy to stay organized. With the holidays just around the corner, I know many of you are traveling (can you believe how fast the holidays are sneaking up on us?). Often, I get asked about my “go-to travel style” or favorite bags for travel. Here are a few items that are at the top of my list:
Soft Layers
Being someone who gets chilly on planes, soft layers are a must for me! I picked up this long cardigan a few weeks ago and I have not stopped wearing it. I actually had a similar style last season and wore it so much it started pilling. This one is made pretty well and I can tell it will hold up a lot better. I highly recommend it! When traveling, I always pair a cardigan with a simple v-neck tee for ultimate comfort.
Comfortable Shoes
Shoes can make all the difference. Especially when going through TSA. I love these chelsea boots. They are comfortable and manageable to take on and off. I also like that they are pretty easy to keep clean. I didn’t have to worry about them getting scuffed or dirty while on the plane. If boots aren’t your thing, I also like to travel with my Felize M.Gemi Flats (save $40 on your first order with code “teacher diva”). I found them to run small so be sure to size up a 1/2 or whole size.
Structured Tote Bag
I got a Neverfull GM for a college graduation present and while I love the classic tote, I don’t like that it’s not structured. This Black Leather Tote from Tory Burch has really impressed me (and it’s a fraction of the cost compared to the LV Neverfull). It’s structured and holds my laptop, notebooks and makeup bag. I love that it holds it’s share even when it’s full. It’s very easy to wipe clean and holds a lot of my carry on necessities. Also, I love how it matches my black luggage!
Practical Travel Accessories
This is a frequently asked question for me and I am exited to share a few of my travel must haves. if you follow me on snapchat, you probably remember me sharing my One Truffle Pouch. I love these bags. They are so easy to clean and come in several different sizes. This one is perfect for your travel sized liquids and is TSA approved.
Another must have for me, is a phone power bank. In the past, we’ve used this one. And while it has worked great, I noticed the cord would crack and start to show the wires. We purchased two and had the same issue with both. I recently purchased Pocket Juice and have been really pleased with the product. We used it on our past few trips and have had zero issues. It can charge a phone 3 times before running out of battery! I also like that is have a built-in wall plug so you can easily charge in a wall socket. It’s not the “cutest” but it definitely works!

i can’t imagine travelling in jeans and heeled shoes, sorry but only leggings and flats are my travel option 😉

Oh I agree…heels aren’t an option for me either. That’s why I loved these booties. They have a low block heel,l so it still offers arch support while remaining comfortable 🙂
