When it comes to beauty and skincare, I love researching and trying new products. Though I have my year-round staples, I like to rotate a few pieces in my beauty bag with the start of a new season. I recently ventured over to the makeup counter at Nordstrom and picked up a few new things for spring (it’s hard for me to pass up a good Gift With Purchase). Whether it’s adding a pink lip or reintroducing your favorite bronzer to your routine, I’ve got you covered.
My Spring Beauty picks:
NARS CONTOUR BLUSH
While the name reads, Blush, don’t be fooled. I found the NARS Contour Blush (I am wearing Paloma) to be more of a bronzer than blush. The color was a true matte brown, which was perfect for contouring. I found this duo to be perfect for sculpting the face, while still looking natural. However, a little goes a long way- this is very pigmented. This is one of my top spring beauty picks as it will transition well into summer.
ESTĒE LAUDER ADVANCED NIGHT REPAIR POWERFUL MASK
I received a sample of this mask months ago and just recently got around to trying it. I don’t know why I waited so long because it was simply amazing. I can honestly say my skin looked and felt better the next morning. I’ve used several other masks, but this is by far the best. When I heard about the Estee Lauder Gift With Purchase, I made sure to pick up a box of these. Though they are a bit pricey, they really do work. I leave mine on for a little longer than the suggested time and squeeze all of the serum out of the package. I use the remaining serum on my neck, chest and around the eyes. My skin looks and feels amazing the next morning!
GIORGIO ARMANI LUMINOUS SILK FOUNDATION
I can’t say enough about this foundation– it’s so good. I purchased this a couple months, and have worn it almost every day since. It is fabulous! It goes on so light, yet provides a medium coverage. The word “luminous” always intimidates me since my skin tends to be on the more oily side. But this gave a nice healthy glow. My only issue is that it does not have SPF. They have a newer foundation with SPF that I may try next. I am also considering the Maestro UV Skin Primer, but hesitant because of the negative reviews. If you’ve tried it, please let me know your thoughts!
LAURA MERCIER TRANSLUCENT SETTING POWDER
This cult favorite really is worth all the hype. I used this several years ago and recently wanted to try it again. I forgot how much I love the Laura Mercier Setting Powder. A little tip that works for me, is using the Velour Puff. I use a large powder brush to lightly dust the setting powder on my face. Then I take the puff and gently press it into my skin. This helps set the makeup and lock it into place. I find that my makeup looks smoother and seems to last longer when I press the powder into my skin. Though I’m sharing this in my spring beauty picks, this is a year-round staple for me!
LANO ROSE HAND CREAM
This gentle hand cream is the perfect addition to my nightstand. I love the subtle rose scent and the way it feels on my skin. Tip: Don’t overdo it, a little goes a long way! I’ve also heard good things about the lip treatment and plan on trying that next.
TOM FORD MATTE LIPSTICK in PINK TEASE
Each season, I like to have a “signature lip color”. You know, the color you can wear every day and makes you feel great while wearing it. Well, “Pink Tease” does that for me. I know, the price is hefty. And trust me, I did not want to like this. (I personally think that is crazy to spend that much on a lipstick) But, I actually fell in love with this product. The color, the formula, the packaging- everything is a win for me.
I’ve always liked a matte lip as they tend to stay on longer throughout the day. The only issue is matte formulas tend to be drying. This formula is matte, but does not have the drying effect on your lips. It doesn’t last the entire day, but it will last several hours longer than my MAC Lipstick. Because I loved this so much, I also purchased “Spanish Pink“. It’s the perfect peachy nude.
OUAI HAIR OIL
I often get questions about my favorite hair products or my current hair care routine. And while there’s a few that I consider “must-haves”, I have to tell you about one that has been a game changer for my hair. I first started using OUAI a year ago when I purchased the Dry Shampoo (you can see my review here). I fell in love with that product and was curious to try more from the brand. A few months ago, I started using the OUAI Hair Oil in hopes to help with frizz and hydration. So far, it’s lived up to the hype. It’s lightweight formula and subtle fragrance make my hair look and feel great.
I don’t wash my hair everyday, so this is great to use to keep my hair looking it’s best. Typically oils can add weight to your hair and even cause hair to look greasy. This is not the case with the OUAI Hair Oil. It’s lightweight and doesn’t make my hair feel heavy or oily. I only use a tiny bit on my ends everyday and it keeps my hair hydrated and nourished. The best part? It can be used on wet or dry hair. If you try it let me know! 🙂

I’m SO going to trying Lano hand cream. I just looked it up and love that it’s affordable and doesn’t have parabens. I heard so much about the GA foundation that I just purchased the Power Fabric and am looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for these suggestions, Ashley!
