Hats are one of my favorite accessories year-round. They can easily hide a bad hair day and they are the perfect way to top off your outfit (pun intended). I often get asked about hat styles during the summer and since this week is all about my Summer Essentials, I wanted to share the three hats I wear most.
3 HATS YOU NEED FOR SUMMER 2017:
1. THE WIDE-BRIM

The Brixton Joanna Hat has been my go-to for the past 2 years. You can see how I’ve styled it here, here and here, just to name a few. This classic style is a great option because it comes in a few different colors and sizes. I also like that it’s not too over the top and can be worn around town without people wondering if you’re heading to the pool.
2. THE BOATER

Another style I wear often is the Hat Attack Boater Hat. I purchased this hat earlier this year and have worn it several times thus far. The style hold true to the classic shape and I love the narrow band detailing. This hat is very durable. I’ve actually traveled with it (in my suitcase) several times and it still holds up very well. 3. THE STATEMENT

This open-weave hat by Eugenia Kim is one of my newest finds. I love the detail on this hat! Eugenia Kim is one of my favorite hat designers, but often very pricey. The Genie by Eugenia Kim line is an extension of her original work, but offers quality hats at wallet-friendly price point.
Statement hats are great for the beach or pool and instantly make you feel like you’re on vacation. But with this one, be sure to not limit the wear to only vacations. It’s too good and needs to be worn often! You can see how I wore it by the pool here.

I owned this hat and it was very sentimental to me and then I accidentally left it on a train in Europe this summer in the overhead, unfortunately. I have been trying to track another down since.
