His + Her Summer Style

Summer Date Outfits If there’s one thing we love about summer, it’s the ease and laid back vibe. With summer comes family vacations, trips to the ballpark and cookouts with our dearest friends. We are thrilled to partner with Banana Republic to share his and her summer styles from their Simply Sophisticated Summer Campaign. I fell in love with this White Ruffle Dress. It’s the perfect summer staple. Whether you want to pair it with heels or your favorite flat sandals, it’s a dress you’ll be wearing all summer long. Summer Style for Him

For me (Austin), I always struggle to find the balance between comfort and style in the workplace. This is especially a problem during the hot Texas summers. You can’t go all-comfort and show up to the office in shorts (unfortunately). But at the same time, you don’t want to start your 8am meeting drenched in sweat because you chose to wear those stylish wool blend pants from two winters ago. But with BR, you don’t have to choose between style and comfort. They always have a comfortable fit that looks and feels great. For this look, I chose the Grant-Fit Supima Cotton Gingham Shirt and the Fulton Skinny Stretch Chino Pant. I paired it with the Everson Italian Leather Oxford Shoe to complete the look (which is a great shoe, by the way). With this, I felt ready to take on a day at the office or just a nice, casual evening. And with the versatility of this outfit, I’ve already dressed the shirt down with a pair of jeans.  You really can’t go wrong here.

    I owned this hat and it was very sentimental to me and then I accidentally left it on a train in Europe this summer in the overhead, unfortunately. I have been trying to track another down since.
