Over the past few days, I’ve been busy going through the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog for you guys. I noticed some great deals for men and recommended Austin pick a few of his favorites. Here are his favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for men, and his review of each.

BONOBOS Slim Fit Plaid Sport Shirt

BONOBOS has been around for a while, but I only recently discovered them. They are currently one of my favorite brands for both shirts, shorts and pants. I own a few of their shirts and they just fit right. The length isn’t too long, so you can wear it untucked for a more casual look. The slim fit doesn’t add the bulk that many button downs do.
Paige Transcend – Federal Slim Straight Leg Jeans

I used to buy my jeans from either Express, J. Crew or Banana Republic. For a long time, I figured those were my only options that I would like. Ashley introduced me to another world of denim at Nordstrom. Some of their brands are a little more pricey than what you might pay at J. Crew, but the small premium (especially on sale) is worth it. Paige makes a great jean and I have a similar pair that I wear all the time.
G-Star Raw Powel SP Jacket

It’s kind of hard to buy a jacket in July, especially here in Texas, where it was almost 100 degrees today. But to save almost 40%, it’s worth it. I’m pretty picky on jackets, mainly because I wear them so much in the fall and winter. I want something versatile that I can grab on my way out the door without having to worry if it clashes. This seems to fit the bill.

Nike Roshe Two Sneaker

I used to only wear sneakers when I was doing something active. I didn’t wear them too much when going out for a casual evening. My better half has expanded my fashion sense and I really like to pair a cool sneaker with jeans. These black Nikes are pretty awesome.
Vince Arthur Chelsea Boot

I have a similar suede Chelsea boot that I wore all the time last season. So much that they are pretty worn down and the suede isn’t really holding up. I know these Vince Arthur Chelsea Boots are a splurge, but I think they would have held up better than my knockoffs.
adidas Stan Smith Primeknit Sneaker

A few months ago, I bought some Stan Smiths and I love them. Mine are the traditional green Stan Smith sneakers and are a little different. But honestly, the green is a little too much sometimes. These black ones pair better and the knit finish give them a unique look. This is definitely one of my favorites from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale for men.

Jack Mason Racing Chronograph Leather Strap Watch 42mm

It’s great to have a few watches for different occasions. I liked this watch from Jack Mason because it can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The brown leather and gold combo make it a nice piece for whatever plans. The white face is also a nice touch.
Electric Swingarm XL 59mm Sunglasses

I have two kinds of sunglasses: the cheap-os I impulsively buy and the nice ones that stay in a case most of the time. The cheap-os always break or get lost and the nice pairs I don’t wear too often. I liked these because they are sort of in the middle of those two categories. At just over fifty bucks, they look nice enough not be cheap-os but not too much of a loss when I inevitably loose them.
Herschel Supply Co Heritage Backpack

For the past seven years, I lugged a satchel to work with my laptop in tow. But recently, I switched to a backpack. I’ve always thought work baggage has been kind of an awkward thing for adults. You can’t sport a briefcase because it’s not 1993. And you can’t sport your JanSport because you graduated high school already. Satchels are nice. But if you have a long walk to your desk like me, they start to hurt your back and smash into your legs every step. I switched to this similar TopMan Black Backpack and love it. But it’s sort of cheap. This Herschel much better quality and a steal at $46.90.
