Can You Wear Black and Brown Together?

Today we tackle a debatable topic: the question of whether one should wear brown with black. For some, they live by traditional fashion rules. But for others, they beat to the tune of their own drum.

Personally, I love wearing black and brown. It’s easily one of my favorite color combinations for an elevated and classic look.

However, anytime I break the outdated fashion rule, I always get asked if this is “ok” to do. What do you all think? At the end of the day, it’s what you like and what you feel comfortable with, right?

Wearing black and brown is easy to achieve — it can be as simple as pairing a camel sweater with black jeans or just wearing a black blouse with cognac leather belt. No matter how you wear it, the trick is to keep your shade of brown either a sand or cognac color. You don’t want the brown to be too dark to where it’s questionable if it’s black or not.
