Box of Style is a seasonal box full of statement staples curated by the one and only Rachel Zoe. I have to admit, I geeked out a little when asked to partner on the Winter Box of Style launch. I have been a huge fan of Rachel Zoe since her show back in 2008. Her style is truly incredible and unlike anyone I’ve seen. Naturally, I was curious to see what all the hype was surrounding Box of Style.
When I opened the box, my first thought was, “How is this only $99.99?”. I was honestly surprised at the high-end quality of the products and brand names that were included. 1. UNREAL FUR FAUX FUR STOLE: A luxe alternative to a real fur. This PETA-certified brand feels soft and keeps you warm. This looks great draped over your blazer or coat. I love the versatility!
2. SUGAR PAPER 2018 CALENDAR: I know many of you like to keep things digital, but there is something therapeutic about taking pen to paper. Who is with me on this? Maybe it’s the teacher in me, but I love writing lists, taking notes, and writing in a planner. This daily planner features monthly grids, pockets to hold recipes or notes, and hand-selected quotes from Rachel Zoe throughout.
3. TARTE SEX KITTEN LIQUID EYELINER: I always use a liquid eyeliner for special occasions and holiday parties. Though I still haven’t mastered the perfect “winged eyeliner”, it gives my eyes a little extra pop. I put it to the test last weekend when we had some friends in town. 5. HOUSE OF HARLOW 1960 MESA EARRINGS: You guys know I don’t typically wear statement earrings because they are usually too heavy. These however, are surprisingly very comfortable and lightweight. They are so fabulous for a night out!

As a longtime BOS subscriber, this Winter Box has been the biggest fiasco; from shipping delays to damaged merchandise to (in my case) double shipping and billing with only automated responses from customer service during a two week period. it’s acollonal breakdown.
It’s not just me. Many, many BOS subscribers found themselves recipients of poorly packed boxes that resulted in earring posts being bent after puncturing the accompanying clutch boxes and scratching/poking holes in the finishes of our clutches. This was after having waited into the end of December to receive the Winter Box. As of today, January 4th, some subscribers were still waiting for their boxes to be delivered. While others try to get replacement of damaged items and still others try to track down items missing from boxes, incorrect items received or promo items not attached to orders.
I’ve read so many messages from subscribers, I have given up hope that BOS will be able to get to my replacement items to me, cancel the duplicate account that they created (I’m not even asking for a refund/I’ll keep the products if they will replace the broken items).
I don’t know how they will be able to cancel my original account now that I no longer wish to remain a customer at all. At this point, I don’t dare take that step until they make me whole for the Winter Box 2017 Meltdown!
I hate that this was your experience, Karen! Hopefully this gets resolved. I’ve heard from a few readers who purchased their Winter Box and they seemed to have a better experience. I’m so sorry you are having to deal with this. Ashley
UPDATE: Shortly after writing my comment, I received information from BOS Customer Service. Replacement items will be shipped “soon”. Meanwhile, I’ve been provided a return label for the damaged items to be used only after the new items arrive (their suggestion). The second box is not a recurring subscription. It was a glitch and the new account number was never charged. Everything has been worked out. They’ve kept me at least until we get through the end of this annual. This Winter Box was the Perfect Storm of shipping, packaging and seasonal staffing problems.
