TIPS TO KEEP IN MIND:
First Flight Out: When you’re planning a quick trip to the city, always take the first flight out. Trust me, it’s worth it. Taking the first flight out allows extra time to enjoy in the city and if there are any issues with your flight, chances are there’s other flight options for you to take advantage of.
Get Up Early: We always like to leave our hotel around 7:30a or 8:00a. You’re only in the city for a short time, so why not take full advantage? This is a great time to snap a few photos before traffic gets worse.
Make Reservations: If possible, grab reservations for your meals 2-3 weeks in advance. Since your time is limited, you want to make the most of it!
Packing Tips: I shared my beauty packing tips a few weeks ago and had a strong request for a packing guide for a carry-on. I haven’t made one yet, but when I pack for short trips, I always pack a similar color palette. That way, things can be worn with each other and it offers more versatility.
WHERE TO EAT IN NYC:
BREAKFAST: Le Cou Cou French inspired cuisine with one of the best omelets I’ve ever had!
BREAKFAST: Buvette I’ve been here two or three times, and I feel like it gets better after each visit. It’s very popular for breakfast, so be sure to grab a reservation.
ON-THE-GO BREAKFAST: The Cafe — Sel Rrose Everything down to the pink lids on the coffee cups is photo worthy. The food and coffee are perfect if you’re on the go or want to sit down for a quick bite. Seating is limited here but don’t let that steer you away.
ON-THE-GO LUNCH: By Chloe There are a few locations throughout the city and it’s ideal for a healthy quick lunch. They do have seating if you choose to sit and relax for a bit. If you’re craving something sweet, do not miss out on their chocolate chip cookies. They are AMAZING!
LUNCH: La Pecora Bianca One of my favorite lunch spots. It’s delicious and very photo worthy. I’ve been here several times and always get either the Avocado Toast or Spaghetti Pomodoro. I would also suggest this for breakfast too!
LUNCH: The Wayfarer American cuisine that offers the best truffle fries I’ve ever had. And you guys know I love fries.
LUNCH: Bergdorf’s I know, can I get any more basic? But really this place is so much fun and charming. Katey and I went here right when we arrived to celebrate our birthday. Reservations are a must (ask for a seat by the window too).
HAPPY HOUR: Sel Rrose This is a beautiful spot to grab some bubbles and oysters. Or one of their famous cocktails. I would suggest getting there around 4:30 because at 5:00 things started to get very busy.
HAPPY HOUR: While We Were Young I believe this place was voted NYC’s most Instagrammed restaurant. If not, it should be! While We Were Young is very small so you have to get a reservation. Everything from the pink seats to the beautiful drinks is photo worthy.
DINNER: Marta What’s a trip to NYC without some pizza? Marta was absolutely amazing.
DINNER: ABC Kitchen I know, I know this one is always on people’s lists but honestly it’s so good! Highly recommend *any* pasta on the menu and the grilled artichokes.
WHERE TO STAY:
During our trip, we were able to grab a room at The Quin. A luxury hotel conveniently located near Central Park and walking distance to the best shopping on Fifth Avenue. If available, be sure to book the terrace room — you can’t beat the view!
THINGS TO DO:
The Quin Hotel’s “MoMA First Look” Experience: This is truly a unique opportunity that allows Quin hotel guests to experience the “MoMA First Look” one hour prior to the public. In this experience, guests have the first opportunity to check out these inspiring exhibits with exclusive access to select galleries. The MoMA is home to the world’s greatest collection of modern and contemporary masterpieces like Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night and Andy Warhol’s Gold Marilyn Monroe, along with works by Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, and many other great artists.
Lunch at Bergdorf’s: This is an experience in itself. If you’re wanting to get a taste of Fifth Avenue, be sure to grab a reservation here! Ask for a seat by the window when you’re making your res.
Run in Central Park: Full disclaimer, I’m not a big runner. But, I can’t help but want to walk or run around the park when I’m visiting. If you’re staying nearby, I would consider going early morning. The park is quiet and there’s something really peaceful about it. Also, it makes me think of Rachel and Phoebe (who else loves that F.R.I.E.N.D.S episode?).
Shopping: My favorite stores to visit include: Glossier, Barneys, & Other Stories, Birchbox (it’s fun getting to build your own box), French Connection
Flatiron Building: I love the Flatiron. If you haven’t seen it, be sure to stop by a grab a photo. There’s also a cute little coffee shop nearby called Toby’s Estate.
PRODUCT DETAILS:

I went to NYC last year and had a unbelievable dinner at the River Cafe. It is under the Brooklyn Bridge and is well known. Pricey but worth going at least once.
I am a coffee-holic too and I appreciate you sharing your coffee shop picks.
I admit everyone should go to NYC at least once but I still like the warm sandy beach towns. (But I live in DFW!)
