10 Back To School Items We are Loving as Adults

This week marks the start of school for many students and teachers. And though most of us aren’t “going back-to-school” per se, what better time to refresh some of our office must-haves? Whether it’s a new set of pens (these are my #1) or a new power blazer (I also own this in three colors), there’s something for everyone on this list.

This time of year is symbolic in many ways for me: a fresh start, new beginnings and the changing of seasons. The list goes on. And it’s also a time when I reflect on my 6 years in the classroom. Former students and parents have been tagging me in photos of their kiddos on the first day and it brings me so much joy to see them excited for the new school year.

I know how much work and preparation teachers put into getting their classrooms ready for the school year. Not only do they want their classroom to be a safe and inviting place, but they also want it to be functional and conducive to a working environment. Teachers spend so much time planning and strategizing different learning needs, etc. Teachers are truly selfless. In the spirit of back-to-school, we have been planning a teacher giveaway. You may have seen me talk about this last week on my IG stories, but we are doing a surprise giveaway and will be announcing it on my Instagram stories FIRST. BACK-TO-SCHOOL PICKS

1. ‘Take Note’ Notebook

Hands down, my favorite notebook I own — I take it with me everywhere. This was on backorder for the longest time and is now restocked. Love the chic leather and gold details.  

2. Ball Point Pens

These pens are smooth and ideal for those of us who still love to journal or make lists with pen and paper. I just ordered them for our office and we are all equally obsessed. 

3. Gold Desk Accessories

Why not up you desk game with these gold accessories under $30? They remind me of Kate Spade, but half the price. 

4. Warren Slip-On Sneaker

Vince can do no wrong. These slip-on sneakers look great with denim, black jeans or even a casual midi dress. 

5. Daily Leather Zip Pouch  

Our newest employee, Victoria, has this in grey and every time I see her use it I want to order one for myself. It has pockets and is an easy way to stay organized. She throws this in her tote and it keeps all her notes, pens and receipts — everything — in one place. 

6. Blue Light Blocking Glasses

These are under $20 and have helped with eliminating headaches and dry eye associated with staring at a screen for hours on end. My eye doctor recommended these to me and they really work! 

7. Apple Air Pods

Austin got these for Christmas and uses them every day. Personally, I have trouble getting them to stay in my ears, but he loves them and highly recommends the air pods. 

8. Leather 15-Inch Laptop Backpack

I saw a girl in the coffee shop with this and I had to ask her where she got it. It looked so chic and I loved the minimal detailing.

9. YETI Rambler 30 oz

I got this last month and have been using it every.single.day. I absolutely love this coffee tumbler and truly believe it is worth the price. No more trips to the microwave to reheat my mug. I’ve tried similar ones, but this works the best for me.

10. Topshop Ava Blazer

You guys have seen me wear this blazer before, and I will continue to recommend it. The fit and quality is spot on. Be sure to follow sizing in the parenthesis for the best fit.
