Let’s take a walk down memory lane, shall we? The 90s was a time of the chunky sneakers, lots of denim (I still love my Levi’s) and of course, graphic tees. While I wouldn’t like to revisit some of the trends, there’s plenty that I’m glad to see making a comeback. Plaid, oversized denim jackets, men’s inspired blazers, and graphic tee’s to name a few.
Below, I’m breaking down some of my favorite ways to style the 90’s trends today.
GRAPHIC TEE
I love the “off-duty” vibe of a vintage band tee or graphic tee. I found this one by Anine Bing on eBay and have not stopped wearing it with denim. Pair with your favorite blazer for the ultimate “cool-girl” look.
MENSWEAR BLAZER
Who could forget Cher’s iconic yellow plaid blazer and skirt set from the 90s classic, Clueless? A plaid blazer is easily the perfect way to complete your ensemble. Whether it’s layered with a graphic tee or silky cami, it’s easily my favorite combo.
DISTRESSED DENIM
Whether it’s an oversized denim jacket, shorts or jeans, denim was quite the trend of the 90s. You guys know I live in denim. And a good pair of distressed Levi’s is everything I look for in my everyday denim. I love a high-rise and the cropped hem goes great with flats, sneakers or a small block heel.
Do you have any of these in your closet? If so — which one are you wearing this season? xx Ashley

Blazers and graphic tees are my new go to for fall! I work in menswear, so it’s so easy to get inspired from the boys. Love this look!

I am a long time blazer and jeans girl. I can remember wearing them in the 70’s. I also have a collection of vintage tees, that I am glad I kept. I have invested in boyfriend jeans this year and I am pairing them with mules and of course, booties ( my old stand by). Love your posts! Must be the Dallas vibe!
