Happy Fashion Week everyone! Today kicks off part two of the festivities and I wanted to give you guys a little peek in my beauty bag this trip. In the six years I’ve been attending NYFW, I’ve learned a few things about skincare. What works, what doesn’t and what I will never leave home without. Below I’m breaking down my ultimate NYFW Beauty Survival Kit. Have you tried any of these? Or better yet, let us know what you always pack when jet-setting!
Be sure to follow along Instagram Stories for more behind the scenes content. xx Ashley
SHEET MASKS: JOANNA VARGUS DAWN FACE MASK
Sheet masks are a skin savor when traveling. I honestly don’t travel anywhere without one or two of these in my beauty bag. The Nordstrom beauty department has the best selection of sheet masks from some of my favorite prestige brands. These by Joanna Vargus are perfect for my combination skin.
GEL MOISTURIZER: CLINIQUE DRAMATICALLY DIFFERENT HYDRA JELLY
It’s no surprise that this is in my beauty bag! I have been using this Clinique Dramatically Different Hydra Jelly since it launched and absolutely love it. It also has a protective barrier against pollution which makes it necessary when coming to the city.
FACIAL MIST: CAUDALIE BEAUTY ELIXIR
If you’re a long time reader, you are probably sick of seeing this by now. Or intrigued — I’ll let you be the judge. This face mist has been my go-to for the past 6 years. I go back and forth with other brands, but this is one that I always bring when I travel. It’s great for giving my skin an extra boost of hydration or to refresh my makeup throughout the day.
SPOT TREATMENT: SUNDAY RILEY SATURN SULFUR ACNE TREATMENT MASK
Being someone who has acne prone skin, this is a mask I use often — I can honestly say I saw results immediately after one use. That’s right, one use. Think of it like a detox for your skin. You don’t want to use it too often, but when you do, things will happen! My pores were visibly smaller and my blemishes nearly vanished.
I like this mask because it’s multi-purpose. You can use it as a spot treatment or leave it on for 15-20 minutes then rinse with warm water. When my skin feels congested, I will actually sleep in this mask. The smell isn’t great, but guys, this stuff works and is ideal for breakouts and oiliness. Your T-Zone will thank you!
HYDRATING SERUM: DR. BARBARA STURM HYALURONIC SERUM
This is an intense hydration boost for the skin. This dewy serum instantly plumps fine lines while providing long term hydration for refreshed, radiant skin. Pair this with a gel moisturizer for the ultimate hydration cocktail.
