Velvet Crush

Every now and again I like to get a little extra with my outfits — spice things up if you will and take a break from my neutral obsessed wardrobe. I took this velvet duster out for a spin when I was in NYC last month and have been anxious for the weather to cool down in Dallas so I can wear it again.

In other news, only a few more days until my college besties come to visit. Our friend, Lauren, is getting married in Waco on Sunday. So the girls are all coming here Thursday and we are driving to Waco on Saturday to meet Lauren. It’s been two years since we’ve all been together so I am pretty excited to see everyone.

I’ve already started putting together a little welcome basket in the bathroom with products I know they will love. I am also stocking the fridge with all kinds of treats for us to eat on Friday night. It’s going to be like one big sleepover — can’t wait.
