2019 Pantone Color of The Year

If you have not heard already, The Pantone Color for 2019 is: PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Pantone or Color of the Year: Pantone LLC is a color matching system that annually announces its “Color of the Year”, which is carefully selected by a board of color experts. Each year this board of color experts undergoes extensive trend analysis. They carefully gather inspiration from various areas of design, fashion, art, travel, as well as influences from popular culture, sports and technological advancements. This year’s color selection is described as “Representing the fusion of modern life, PANTONE Living Coral is a nurturing color that appears in our natural surroundings and at the same time, displays a lively presence within social media.” I find this fascinating!

In honor of Pantone’s recent announcement of this year’s color, I have spent some time researching on how I can incorporate this colorful trend into my clothing, beauty, accessories and even home/office decor! If you know me well, you know I am loyal to my neutral colors as well as many of my readers and because of that, I have decided to focus on warmer and softer coral tones that will complement my current aesthetic.
