Boyfriend jeans have become a huge staple in this mama’s wardrobe the last few months. They have a looser fit and overall tend to feel more comfortable throughout the day. But because of their slightly baggier style, they can look a little bit more masculine in my opinion. Hence the name, I suppose. So whenever I wear them, which these days is very often, I like to add some feminine details to soften the look.
Keep reading for a few ways to accomplish the look.

Ruffles
I’m finding myself very intro ruffle detailing right now. It’s flirty, fun and kind of unexpected. This cardigan with ruffles on the sleeves is exactly what my boyfriend jeans need to balance them out. You can also do ruffles on a peasant blouse, which could be a cute office look for casual Friday.
Soft colors
The best way to soften any outfit, in my opinion, is by adding a pastel or soft color palette like cream, tan, or taupe. The creamy orange shade of this cami is perfect for any season, but especially fall. You could also pick up a blush duster or a pretty tan cardigan to layer over a basic white tee.
Lace
Silk camis with lace detailing are very on-trend right now, so this is a great option. Pick one up in a soft color and layer it under a neutral blazer or cardigan for fall and winter.
Delicate shoes
Whenever wearing a boyfriend jean I like to make sure my shoes are especially feminine. In this case, I went with a white mule with a low block heel, a favorite trend of mine right now. As the weather cools down I’d do a snakeskin or a white bootie to keep that girly vibe going.
How do you like to style boyfriend jeans?
