Two of the most asked questions I get on a daily basis are where are my rings from and how do I stack them? I’ve written about where to get some of my rings here, so if you’re looking for more specific info on that, you can read that post. Today, however, is all about how I stack them.
It’s really simple actually and something anyone can do! Just follow this quick ring stacking guide:
1. FIND RINGS THAT COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER – When you stack rings, you’re not just stacking them vertically up and down your finger, but horizontally across your hand. Think about this when buying rings you’d want to stack. Consider size and color, and any extra details (stone color, etc.) that could throw off the vibe of your stack. For me, I find wearing mostly gold (yellow and white) rings with minimal color goes well with my overall neutral style.
2. KEEP IT SIMPLE YET PERSONALIZED – This can vary depending on your personal style, but I think ring stacks look best when everything is kept pretty simple. This is why you frequently see me wearing this simple gold band on multiple fingers. But I also love to add personal touches like my MAMA ring and my signet ring (size medium) that has an L on it for Lucy (our French Bulldog that passed away).
If you have more of a statement ring you want to incorporate like my MAMA ring, for example, I suggest stacking it with a simple gold band like the one I linked above and something that’s still minimal but textured like this beaded stacking ring.
3. COMBINE FINE AND AFFORDABLE JEWELRY – I obviously wear my wedding ring every day and also have a diamond band I frequently wear on my right ring finger. I like to mix those high-end pieces with Etsy finds (most of the affordable rings I wear I find on Etsy). I think it creates a cool, modern vibe and adds a chic eclectic look to my fine jewelry, which I like.
I hope this helps you stack your rings and find a style you love!
xx Ashley
