I’ve been talking with many of you about ways to make special moments exciting during this time at home. This has been on my mind so much since George’s first birthday is on Sunday. I asked you guys a few weeks ago to share any and all ideas for celebrating life events while quarantined. And oh my gosh, you all had a lot of clever and fun ideas. Here’s how TTD FAM is celebrating special moments at home.
AT-HOME CELEBRATION IDEAS VIA TTD FAM
Have a Zoom game night and play Minute To Win It.
Making your own cake and decorate the house with a DIY Balloon Garland. (These sprinkles are really fun for a birthday cake!)
Order in from your favorite local restaurant and get dessert! Set the table, get ready and make it feel special.
Dive by parades — decorate your car, blow bubbles out the window, make a few signs to attach to the car. A lot of bakeries are offering “packaged cupcakes” or wrapped cookies so you can pass out a treat for your guests that drive by.
Sending flowers or Tiff’s Treats is always a good idea.
Social Distance Party in the front yard and friends can drive-by or bring a chair. (We are planning to do this with close family on Sunday!)
Send someone a meal via Uber Eats.
Sip and Paint Night at-home edition! Buy this paint kit, turn on a Bob Ross video on YouTube and have wine and cheese. *This one wins for most creative!*
Fried Chicken Taste-off — order from 3 local places and score each one.
Order in from your favorite restaurant and make your favorite cocktail.
Card my Yard (I’ll be honest, I had to look this one up! But it looks fun and definitely would make anyone’s day extra special. Amazon has a few yard sign options too!)
Zoom brunch + Mimosas
